In battles where landing a hit actually matters, it can be a huge problem if you miss. Coney can just use the move again without consequences if he doesn’t hit. Also he actually just never missed lmao. So both are right

idk, l had some trouble with some of the fights but that was mostly due to me just focussing on research tasks so l always only had whack/underleveled mons with me. Like coney said, they usually have only 1 or 2 mons with them so as long as you have something to counter that you're set, and otherwise you struggle. To me that isnt difficulty per se, thats just hoping to have the right tools with you at the time

Gen one can't have the best Pokemon designs since there is a pokemon that is named seel and is a seel with a horn. Then their is a Charmeleon. Then there are a some other basic Pokemon from gen one that I don't remember.
Pidgey... It's literally a pigeon. Magnemite is literally a magnet. Yeah, Gen 1 had a lot of super basic stuff. Later games take some great inspiration from old mythological stuff, like Norse mythology. With the names being better, what with them taking part of, if not entirely based on other languages on what animals or plants are named, or ancient myth names.

Unlike you, I DO like the stories a lot more, the “role playing” aspect of the “role playing game” is fun to me. Or even just seeing all my Pokémon have fun and do stuff together. That’s why I like Pokémon games with modes that let you do various things with them like dress them up for a musical, compete in sporting event mini games, or even just ones that let you play with them. Different kinds of Pokémon games fill different niches, but in the end, I just mostly like the characters: human and Pokémon alike, and I like to see their progression and growth and happiness

It's honestly frustrating to see people complain about Pokemon plots and storylines for years only to find out later that people are skipping the dialogue like....I'm sorry you can't read, don't see how that's the game's fault
Also the trainer battles aren't hard, not even the endgame one people always bring up, but he's ignoring 75% of the game if he's ignoring the Pokedex. Catching Tornadus, Enamorus, etc is the real challenge here

I think Legends Arceus is a very different *kind* of difficulty than other Pokemon games. That said, this game has a fight that will WHOOP your ass if you're not ready for it

Otherwise Pokemon games are braindead easy. 1V1 against other human players is where it's at if you want to really explore the game's mechanics, NPCs are almost never using any sort of strategy outside of the occasional buff move and knowing type advantages
Pokemon isn't hard if you play single player, the only way you can get challenged is when you play against other people who have minds of their own and don't just leave out a pokemon that is 4 times weak to your pokemon's type. but legends archeus has no online vs :(
