As I did an inventory, I was a bit disappointed. I ordered and received the kit for the Bugeye (Mk 1) Sprite, and confirmed it. Yet the suspension bolt kit included fasteners for the half-elliptical springs used in later Sprites instead of quarter elliptical springs in the Bugeye. So I'll have to buy those fasteners separately.
There were no mounts. It was just sitting in there. And "fits" is not really accurate. The top of the valve cover was higher than the bonnet would have been, requiring a shaker or scoop if it had been truly fitted. Also, the tunnel was badly maimed trying to cram the gearbox in there. There is a member of my local British Car Club building an A40 (?) for his wife, and he came down and bought the engine and gearbox from me. That 1600 engine weighs a TON compared to the A Series!
Your parts car was in better shape than many i've seen being worked on, especially mine!
Good to see you making progress, nice work.
Thank you. Coming up on the big stuff soon... firewall, floors, sills, and spring boxes.
I bought the whole body bolt kit and liked it so far. Every nut and bolt for the body.

Crazy. Have not seen a sprite with a MGA engine and gearbox conversion before. Seems to fit. Did they hand make the engine mounts?
