Agreed. These new casts of super fans are too self-aware for the show to feel exciting and gritty anymore. Everyone nerds out about players from past seasons (and that’s alright), but it makes them look disingenuous about how they play the game without trying to look like copycats. It was embarrassing for that 1 girl to quit on day 2 or 3. That 1 fella, Brandon I think, is such an emotional wreck that makes me think of him as someone that loves the show from a couch POV, but not someone that should be on there because he’s the kind of person that’s just happy to be on the show. Not actually play to win
I got into survivor lately and oh my god the RAGE I felt when Russel didn’t win his season or the following season BLOWS MY MIND. Cocky? Yep. Arrogant? Yep. Snakey? Yep. FUCKING BEST SURVIVOR PLAYER TO EVER LIVE? YUPPP!!!!!!! He deserved to win s19 especially but he should have the other seasons too. He got JIPPED big time.
I would suggest Lynne Spillman create her own casting company. That way she would not be in CBS and be bound to their quotas and be able to end the discriminatory practices and cast based on quality instead of quotas.
All the money spent to put Survivor on and the advertisers attaching their products to survivors show and this is the best contestants they could find out there. Wow
I disagree. People are forgetting that Spillman casts had more misses than hits after S20. I'll take the new era casts anytime over something like One World, Caramoan, South Pacific or Ghost Island.

All of those are Better than The 5 seasons we've gotten post 40. And those Are considered “Bad Cast"🙂
