I don’t understand why.. you don’t put more food in your bowls..so you don’t have to keep reaching for “one bean”.. over & over??? Why not put a big spoonful of beans instead??
I asked my Asian friend and she stated many people are now leaning towards the western way of serving more on plates. When I worked in China the upper class didn't eat like that, and they used flatware. The germs going around would worry me, when cold season comes around.

I remember as a child we would help in my aunts garden and help prepare the vegetables. We didn’t get paid or worried about pay we were happy and thankful to eat and be a part of the family
