Sheeeeawww GawwwbeeeeY - Gawby born Gawby bred - Strong in t'arm an' thick in t'head. As an ex-pat who's now living in Sydney Australia I loved this one. I used to fish in that pond up from Jubilee Bends...My dad and his brothers used to drink at the Railway..I'm gutted that H & Lou have had to close the Duke...My little sister worked there so you'll know who I am if you're a local.. Thanks for the vid.
It was indeed very early on a Sunday Morning. I wanted to avoid being in traffic. Also it was a bit dodgy driving around with a full size (1990's era) video camera balanced on top of the car Dash board and people were a lot more circumspect of being filmed back in the day. Perhaps it would have been better if it had been done later in the day but those were pioneering days for anything to do with an Internet website. These days it would be hard to believe the grief I got from people who were offended at the idea of there being webcams on the local high street uploading live images to the Internet for the whole world to see.
