The reason why I left my previous job was this. Didn't feel appreciated enough. Wasn't even the bad salary. Everyone were on the same boat. But not being appreciated makes you feel like you have accomplished nothing and you are easily replaced.
that doesnt apply to this situation, most people never even come close to being able to get a deal in the first place, people need to not be fooled into thinking this is about anything other than money. hence the whole reason YT is fighting hard to scalp streamers. when things finally even out, people will be right back to the charade of thinking they are being "cheated" and "they" being the guys that are even able to get contracts

Having nearly 500 U tubers absubscribed to many have been unsubscribed by RUclips itself. Because I haven't watched them in a long time. It feels like I have to keep using RUclips.
Can you find streams on twitch? What makes it better than RUclips? Genuine question, I’m curious because I’ve always heard that discoverability on twitch was low. So it’s worse on RUclips?
@@EroticInferno let's put it this way, if I wanna watch a world of warcraft stream on twitch it takes like 10s to find the warcraft category and start browsing streams, on RUclips I'd have to go through multiple not very intuitive menus just to even see live streams, and even then it can be hard to know if the stream is specifically that game.
@@EroticInferno Honestly, with twitch I can look up a game I enjoy and find everyone streaming it at that time. With RUclips I genuinely don’t know how to find stream unless I’m subbed to someone or happen to view their profile while they’re streaming.

@@DanielQwertywhat the other guy said. They've removed dislikes and the ads are awful, you're living in denial if you think youtube goes "by the people" lol
This surprisingly hits home. I grew up knowing this is how most businesses function but even still after working in a distribution center (packaging warehouse) for a while I just had to leave. I was just a set of arms moving things into a box, and then the box onto a conveyer belt for 10-12 hours a day. I was overcome with this crushing sense of "This job only exists because they cannot yet afford robots do it." Financially I'd be better off if I had stayed there but I just don't have the ability to compartmentalize that stuff like most other people. I was lucky enough to be able to drop the job, but my heart goes out to anybody with no other choice.
I could deal with leaving Facebook, Instagram, twitch. But not RUclips, it defined my teenage years and now adulthood, also youtube was very informative and helped throughany times on my life wether high points or ever the lowest ❤ And for that I'm forever grateful
Shockingly sound advice. I do this quite frequently and if I find I feel disappointed in the coin flip results I generally take that as an indication of what I really wanted even if I wasn't able to analyze it beforehand. But, when I literally can't figure out what decision to go with, it's typically a decision with no right choice, and of equal consequence. I find that coin flipping reduces the anxiety of the decision entirely and it allows me to just roll with it.
There’s a reason if I watch twitch it’s from streamers who rarely run ads besides the forced one at the beginning when u click the channel. Hell earlier today I was trying to check a dudes channel out and it gave me 4 30 second ads. I’ve no problem with ads but when I’m trying to decide if I want to watch someone I’d rather not get an ad yet.. needless to say I immediately left that channel and went back to RUclips for my videos and streams
So now twitch even subbed has ads? It’s stupid. If RUclips make its easier to see live content I’d 100% go with RUclips. RUclips just has to tweak its platform to integrate live streaming and it can be so successful… and putting twitch in its place rightfully.
@@aandyherr817I agree, RUclips has the most potential imo. Every once in awhile I get a streamer recommend to me but not much. Needs a live section but then game categories as well
youtube is bad but twitch is just as bad at fucking over their content creators if not worse. Also, twitch is petty af imo, at least youtube is a bit more neutral imo.
They were smarter here, not kinder. Ludwig is a big cash cow, and they'd be stupid to not get him on their side. Your random small streamer however is pretty worthless, they don't need to make any enticing offers.
As a small creator I earn zero money from RUclips but I’m still in the affiliate program for Twitch so I still earn some money. If I ever blow up I don’t know if I’ll leave or stay but if RUclips is able to add all the features on Twitch I’ll be all for it. Twitch is just ahead of their time.
Twitch's horrible behaviour and lack of empathy is why I never left RUclips. As bad as YT may be at some aspects, Twitch is a thousand times worse and vehemently refuses to apologize or even acknowledge when they are in the wrong.
This is what I used when I was deciding whether I should resign or not. I told myself that if they're okay with a bit of compromise with my work or bump up my salary, I will stay. They didn't so I left. There was no understanding with my situation as well despite me explaining so hard. I didn't make a huge fuss and didn't announce it to others and most were surprised that it's my last day today. I might struggle for a while but I feel good knowing I put myself and my mental health first. If something no longer works for you and you can tell they don't really care about you, do what's best for you. It's okay if you don't have things figured out, no one really does.
getting your clients happy might be the best thing for a business. not only doing what they need but more, that's why sometimes with let's say sneaker resellers or smth they send candy inside the boxes or shit like that
I think it's funny because youtube may or may not be a huge reason he is who he is today. It's what made me find him and prolly the majority of viewers. Twitch was just a platform for him and RUclips to film on. Keep sprinting Lud:)
i have to say, youtube is top notch when it comes to customer support. they recognize that every single youtuber is valuable. i recently got monetized and i reached out to youtube, they were extremely nice about everything and i wouldn’t step away from them for anything.
You gotta have soul in a company where you deal with people all day , you gotta make them feel special even if they aren't, its just something you have to do to ensure it runs fine , and sadly twitch and RUclips both barely have souls but at least RUclips tends to be more fair in its rules and cares more
And twitch had the perfect opportunity to do that since, well, they're not run by google, but instead, they somehow treat you worse than google, I didn't even think that was possible.
Totally get the coin flip thing, I do the same. But most of the time I don't even look at the coin. As soon as you flip it you realise you're hoping it lands a certain way
I’m trying to start becoming a genuine content creator who hopefully branches out and becomes something like a Ludwig or pokimane. Heavily doubt It, but it’s my dream. I’ve been contemplating whether i want to continue streaming on twitch because it’s the “known” platform, or if I should do RUclips instead. I thought I should go with twitch because it’s more known for streaming and there’s the subs, bits, and donations. But I think I might just try making RUclips streams work
Thats fair dude. I'm a huge yt watcher and I recently got into ludwig and he seems like a good guy and deserves a good opportunity. I respect him and wish him luck on youtube.
They are in the process of building their streaming talent. Of course they are all ready to wine and dine. Twitch basically controls that streaming market. Of course they could care less if one creator leaves here or there
It kinda shows why sometimes loyalty to a company isn't the best thing to do; A lot of the times if not most of the time, you are just a number to them.
RUclips done the best decision in recent years for their business by getting ludwig. He's a catalyst for a lot of streamers as well as viewers to RUclips. They also got truffle cause of Otto (should hire that guy ngl)
To me, youtube has always felt more like a community than just a platform to watch videos on. RUclips always at least TRIES to communicate regularly with the people on their platform and they do try to support them as well. Twitch just seems like a soulless void most of the time.

People have been saying this for YEARS. To some degree it is true, but the reality is Twitch isnt going to die, its not going anywhere.
@@themasterseye agree thats why i said it slowly becomes a platform for women to sell "sexyness"
@@red2744 just because there is a rise in number of sexy streams doesn't mean other categories aren't getting more streamers either. It's a % game. As long as % of people streaming lewdish content is low, it's not gonna affect twitch
I agree except with the RUclips taking over TikTok, it’s definitely possible and I love RUclips shorts more than TikTok but TikTok despises RUclips shorts, they insult shorts in the vids and even say it’s childish. So I don’t believe they will switch, maybe with time tho
I doubt they will take over TikTok, they could take over Twitch if more people pass to YT but I don't know yet. Twitch might treat you like a gear in the system but it works fine if you're a small streamer wanting to grow, on the other hand on YT if you don't already have a massive channel there's no way in hell your streams are getting recommended to people so.. yeah, very different socials. I'd say that RUclips should just make a separate website/app for streams and do something similar to Twitch (aka stream categories that recommend you big and small channels).
Twitch is like that friend that uses you and doesn’t give anything in return. RUclips is like that friend that uses you but also gives in return. At the end of the day, every business (and tbh everybody in general) is using their people, but how they treat is what separates good from bad.
RUclips is like that friend who lets you do butt stuff sometimes.
Small content creators who never get monetized and abandon their channels then get their content stolen, never get anything in return.
@@LVX-thats not RUclipss fault though lmao, RUclips doesn’t control if someone’s content gets stolen or not.
@@PastPositive Yeah, but why cannot people report if the content is stolen? Why can't unmonetized original creators report their content stolen? Why is the reporting only available when you get monetized which is 1,000 subs and 40,000 watch hours or 10 million shorts views.
With RUclips it is a transaction, with Twitch it is a scam.
Had a friend who was being sought after by two companies, the company he liked most was going to pay him less and when he went to them and said that he was going to go with the other offer. They upped the offer and he took the job he wanted.
Dont be afraid to negotiate, especially if you have a highly sought after skill
RUclips has always felt like a community to me, ive been watching trends go by on here for ages and it's always maintained the same general vibe. A bit skeptical, but then with adaptation and how everyone has technology needs and convenience; it's not bad.
@@lsdxhostile8245 Are you talking about streamers or other occupations? Coz in other occupations at least in the west, you can have a job and then keep looking for a better one and eventually do what Lud did. This has happened many times in my circle. Of course its about the money. That's why we are working. But if you are Ludwig who broke some grounds in streaming and the platform didn't think it was a big deal then it's understandable to leave for a better pay. Coz at the end of the day, he was right. Always flip a coin because either way you are going pick the choice you truly want.
