Gavrail Ultima Combo Explained || Cardfight!! Vanguard

- Somehow a combo that hasn't been covered in English since its inception in Japan - the Gavrail Ultima Combo or "Loop"! This is one of my favourite sequences of card interactions in G and in Premium it got even more powerful thanks to the V Series triggers giving it an additional push.

Having to check the stand triggers will be hard, but not impossible 🤔 looks fun
depends on how many stands you run. doe i personally dont find it optimal cause of how much you gotta dedicate your deck around the cheesy loop.

Mmm, and I was just about to update my Gavrail-Ultima deck too. Though I like stuffing my top deck with triggers instead so I can drop five (or more) supercharged attacks with crits, I respect the balls deep strats.

Great video. Haven't really thought of that really interesting way of doing G-era combo before. What I did back then was target Zabaniya herself as one of my Ultima calls and stack a Crit and Stand on top. Then, I call a Maalik va Zabaniya in order to guarantee the full-field Crit and a Stand during the first Maalik boost attack.
Anyway, just a minor correction. If I am not mistaken, there is an errata for Zabaniya. The +2k is on herself, not on the called unit.

As a standard player, what do I need to know about Premium??? I find it pretty interesting with potential new old card interactions but I dont wanna spend money until I know what I am getting into..........
Essentially it's good to just find a deck that is current and doing well in the format that fits your playstyle - which is probably easiest to find from your favourite clan! Then look into what builds exist for it in Premium, what card interactions exist, but normally it shouldn't be too expensive!
This loop is super fun, i do prefer the double makir column version more. super amazing fun angel shananagans.
Yeah that one has more oomph in my opinion, but I wanted to showcase both variants haha
@@DifferentFight yeah the oomph is super fun, i also made a variant where you do the loop but have +1crit to the field and thousand ray pegasus boosting mikirs on both rg colmns. focus is on old gavriel.

One of the Angel Decks that works pretty well is a Gift Marker heal Engine with Ultima V-Hospital Win Condition. Super annoying to beat.
Yeah I'm aware of that one too, but it feels really slow LOL
So what about V series made the Premium combo possible? From what it seems, the same combo is possible pre-V.

It's not just Premium - you can technically use both in either format, but the one I showed for G Format was seen as better because you could justify the 12 stand builds and not rely on the Antibodies, whereas now Antibody lets you set up the double Maalik column (which was possible before as well), but with the huge V series triggers that one double-Maalik column has so much more threat than in the 12-stand build. Hope that makes sense.

I saw Solemn's video on his wishlist for the PC2019, and I was severely disappointed by it. I'm a big lore guy when it comes to my VG, and although I can get his idea of better first strides, his entire video was like 1% explaining the possible origins of the cover ultimates to a 99% public service announcement as to why Generation Break should be available as early as the G1 ride. And I know the video was made before this week's reveal of 3 of the units for the set (History Maker and Katrina G4 evos and possible Cross Stride evo for Glueball), but the video didn't feel like, which units do YOU want to see being represented with attacking and gen guard G unit evos in this set, and felt more like, one of those infomercials to donate to Premium being a dying format when it's not you know? Anyway, sorry for the random rant, and if you decide to make one, if you want to make gameplay predictions regarding what the set might bring that's totally alright, but I want to see what YOU personally want these new ultimates to do since they are possibly related to Harmonics, like how do you relate Ultimate Stride with a deity of Creation rather than Gyze's where if you can't finish it with his Ultimates, you lose your gen zone. Also, I would like to know which units in your opinion would you like to see be brought back as G4 evos since the focus now is not the mascots like Jet, Ahsha, Altmile, etc, but key units that were big players during the time their keyword and mechanics were the strongest for all the clans.

Isnt ultima unable to restand all units from the stand trigger? As in you only can choose 1 to restand
Ultima applies the Trigger effects to all units, therefore all stand.

At least now you can either choose the rescue loop or use ultima to search 2 feather palace and stack 2 crits on top.
