So great to see young talent on the other side of the World taking up the torch for what we seem to have forgotten how to do here in the USA. These kids are amazingly talented, and have a commanding grasp of arranging, time, and tastefulness. Bravo!
We may have forgotten because music education was removed or depleted of funding from many schools to fund math and sciences in the late 80's at every level in many public schools. As a Music Education major in college back then in my state. Over time only private and government funded "academic magnet" schools have primary music education. High school was okay, but again additional lessons outside is necessary to gain success and scholarship. Like learning a foreign language, early education yields success.
