    I love rockin' fuchsia salvia! This is my second year planting them in our window bow boxes, so fun getting to watch the hummingbirds enjoy them

    Beautiful gardens! Plant more Miss Saori hydrangea and eclipse hydrangea plants side by side, it makes a great colorful plant composition.

    Definitely my best hydrangea year! Love all the varieties!
    Good luck on speaking to city council on watershed issues 🙄we are dealing with so much growth in NE Raleigh. Pretty sure they don’t care about us home & landowners.

    Such fun to see all the colors…Whoo hoo! It is truly a pas de deux with annuals and perennials. I love having some reliable plant performers (aka, “old friends”) hold a place in my garden as well as adding those fresh pops of color that annuals bring. You are REALLY opening my eyes to add some reseeding annuals to the mix. 👍🏻 I agree with your stance on “harsh editing”. I just hacked out my kniphofia - great flower but it takes up too much real estate for only 2 weeks of flowers. On your “cut thru” by the stained glass - if those are the sedum that grow in shade, I will be delighted to dig up and remove them for you. I’ve got lots of shade areas and need some coverage [HINT]. Keep posting Brie! BTW, I noticed the agapanthus got a lot of attn during your Open Garden (I was sitting on the steps for awhile).

      Brie - Town of FV - YOU GO, GIRL! Why this town has a residential developer as mayor is beyond my understanding. Talk about conflict of interest?! Oh, I’m outside Town limits and cannot vote for Town officials - but they certainly CAN affect our residential outskirts. Best of luck at the meeting! 💪🏻

    Some friends of ours had three feet of water in their basement after a new road was put in. The area was prone to flooding anyway but the new road made it soooooo much worse ! 💐💚🙃

    Please consider involving the state in the road drainage situation. Your homeowners insurance will be impacted by their poor choices, not to mention the health and safety of your neighborhood and local environment. Stay strong and on their case!

    All my poppies have finished and seed has been collected for nest year. I have 4 times as much seed on the giant breadseed poppy and way alot of flanders. I can't seem to see any heads on my California poppy but they are still going strong. My 2 larkspur are blooming , blue and white I hope to collect seed from them . I bought some clamadyus jackmanii on sale! It sprouted today , im so excited. Do u think it can survive the east texas winter of about 2 freezes? Or should I keep it in the pot . I got cleome! My snap dragons I planted in winter are blooming too. My giant poppies where also pink and rasberrycolor. You garden looks so nice.

    Shirley poppies are finishing up and bread seed poppies just starting to bloom in my zone 7B N MS garden. Is your siding Hardie board? If so, what did you use to hang quilt square board on your house?

    • @BrieThePlantLady
      @BrieThePlantLady  4 месяца назад

      Yes it is hardy board. I think we used a deck screw or nail to hang the barn quilt- nothing special.

    Could I interplant poppies and gladiolus? I'm waiting for my gladioulus to bloom and it just seems kind of empty right now... I'm thinking for next year it would be nice to have some earlier blooms in that area

    • @BrieThePlantLady
      @BrieThePlantLady  5 месяцев назад

      No. poppies shoujd not be sown until the soil is much cooler. Watch the videos in my cottage gardening playlist for instructions but they don’t grow well through the summer. Poppies should be fall/ winter seeded

    • @samanthaeverette1192
      @samanthaeverette1192 5 месяцев назад

      @@BrieThePlantLady I'm planning to sow them in november. I'm asking about next year... if they will grow well together so that i can have poppy blooms in early spring, and gladiolus in the summer. But if they won't grow well together I'll just sow the poppies somewhere else.

    Tiger lilies ? They look like asiatic lilies to me, but what do I know ? 💐💚🙃 If they have a fragrance then maybe oriental lilies ? 💐💚🙃 Again just me guessing ? 💐💚🙃

    • @BrieThePlantLady
