That's correct. There are two ways of changing font sizes as of now and none support responsive values: 1. From Checkout UI Extensions the Text component has a size prop that supports some fixed values like "small", "base" and "large", but the type of that prop isn't MaybeResponsiveConditionalStyle. 2. Through the Checkout Branding API, but there are currently no options to set different font sizes depending on the screen size.

Because what I'm building in this video is just an extension, so the other template is not necessary. If what you are building needs to use Remix you can select that one.

Is it a process of initially setting it up in the sample store, then publishing it to the Shopify App Store, and finally installing the app onto the real store?

Why do you use extension first and not go the recommended way, does it cause any issue?
