Thanks for that "sensible" review mate. Most people seem to have totally missed the point of this knife (Mora's take on a Leuku using synthetic materials). Thanks for your educated opinion, I got one on order as I am a big fan of the Leuku.
Thanks for sharing your thoughts and taking the time out. I think you’re spot on! This is your Bushcraft knife... Why everyone is sizing it up against a tactical / survival/ 1lb piece of shrapnel. Lol
Mora designed it to be a bushcraft knife. The length is similar to early 1950s when men discovered that the butcher knives they bought thier wives worked great for outside tasks. The scandi grind improves the performance. Bushcraft knife yes. Survival no. Survival is a mindset. We may use bushcraft tools and skills to help us to survive but survival mind set is the key. People survived hikes from Georgia to Maine ,Canada to Mexico using little to no bushcraft skills or knowledgeable. This knife has slim profile so using it to cut along a back strap is possible as well slicing a tomato. The molle attachment shealth allows to attach it it to most packs today. This knife stays on my molle 2 pack for multi day adventures. I currently and testing the Ontario rat 5 knife which was designed to aid in survival where as the mora line of knives were design to aid in camp ,fire, wood crafts.
I’ve got a Pathfinder,, and love it,,,!!!!! It’s a Workhorse,,!!! The sheath doesn’t do that Knife justice. Grizzly Outdoors can make a Awesome Kydex Sheath, that’s better suited for Bushcraft. Joshua
