Trainning has gotten so much better as technology has improved. Even at UPT, you have so much more interactive tng with simmulators which in turn makes flying a safer environment and helps students with confidence and knowledge. Trust me, using an interactive system is a much better learning tool than reading a flight manual and trying to stay awake. How systems work and emergency procedures are a must but a picture is still worth a thousand words.
Wow, old video but it just showed up on my You Tube page today. I was a crewchief and I spent a long time at Luke. I was in on the conversion from F-4C's to F-16's back in the day. I wish I could go back and do it all over again.
I regularly pick up Boeing packages from a new XPO Logistics plant off the 303 and Indian School rd and I LOVE watching the F35s put on a show coming in and outta Luke AFB!!
Guess what plane the US is buying from around the World now. T-38/F-5.... The USAF just woke up and realized the 'cheap to keep' and 'cheap to fly' T-38/F-5 is much better deal to fly, keeping pilots hours up, than the very expensive F-35. Even the US Navy and Marines have caught on,, and fly them now. I dont know if our allies like Norway and others will 'get it'...
