Sir in your video on infrared radiations you said that in graph of higher energy radiations we consider frequency whereas in graph of lower energy radiations we consider wave number . But while discussing the graph of uv visible radiations you have taken wavelength on x axis. if uv visible radiations are of higher energy region then we should take frequency on x axis instead of wavelength???..... please clarify
I need to see the absorbance of dichloromethane by carbon by using uv visible spectrophotometer. I had already run a pure dichloromethane to full range of uv visible spectrum I e,190 nm-1100nm to see at which wavelength its peak is seen . And,its highest and clear peak have been seen in 208nm. But in literature the range of DCM for uv visible spectrum is 233nm, and highest 274 nm. Somewhere it is written the range is between 200-300nm. And according to 'OECD guidelines for testing of samples' by uv visible spectrum, it's range is 235 nm for dichloromethane. Now I am confused what wavelength range I must fix for my samples. Please guide me.
@@AbdullahSanaUllah you mean to say, we should take any one range between 200-300nm, it can be 235, 274. Or 288 But we have to write like this-The range taken lies between 200-300nm? Am I right sir?
How can you measure your sample/standard at multiple wavelengths? Like you said you measured it using wavelengths between 190-1100nm, do you have to change the wavelength each time or can you measure the whole range without having to go back in and set the wavelength each time? I know the wavelength of what i’m testing is 412nm, so I have it set to that, but i’m curious how I could verify that is my max absorbance wavelength without doing 1,000 tests
@@jboww2121 no sir, from the top, there is an option for peak point , we have to click it , enter the required wavelength and the absorbance appears infront of the wavelength we written
Monochromator converting radiation into single wavelength then how will Recorder plot the graph of so many wavelengths? DO we have to repeat the experiment at all wavelengths?
Same question. I have mine set at 412nm to measure the absorbance of formaldehyde which has been derivatives with acetyl acetone, acid, and ammonium acetate bc formaldehyde by itself has very poor absorbance. I can get an absorbance value for my sample and that’s honestly all I need. But how could I test a standard at a range of wavelengths to get the absorbance vs wavelength plots that determine the maximum absorbance for that compound? Perhaps more advanced machines have variable wavelength tests that measures the whole range? I’d think there’s a method to do this without repeating it hundreds/thousands of times at different wavelengths.
Finally I understood the UV/VIS spectroscopy.Thankyou sir g I am amased

thank you for explaining in a way we can understand.
Very useful and well explained. Thanks!
Good explanation , thanks....
Thanks alot..
Shared all basic concept.
I haven't seen anlytical specialist like u. Hats off sir.
Sir it is very simple and intrusting method to understand the uv vis..sir kindly upload the i.R specroscopy..
Thank sir thanks for such a good explanation of spectroscopy
Wonderful lecture
Absolutely loved it... lucid and clear
Really a helpful and crystal clear lecture....
Got the topic fully thanku sir.
Thank you very much , sir. I have enjoyed your class and learnt so effectively.
that was great thanks alot👌
so awesome thank you so much sir

Sir love you 💞
Plz make videos which would be helpful for PPSC examz.
love to cover my topics with the help of your lactures
Thanks
Thank you Sir!😁
Sir you told us that uv radiation will be absorb in 1'3 pentadiene and having carbonyl group 1,4 pentadiene has no carbonyl group?
After the electron excited, does it undergo emission like fluorescence where the energy is slightly lower than when it excite??
Excellent no words sir its superrrbbbbb
sir kindly makes vedio on application of hv vis spectro for the strure elucidation of organic compound
I will try
Your explanation is clear and easily understandable. Would you not mind to do a video on analytical separation methods? Please.
I will try my best
I'd appreciate that

Sir why do we take log in beer lambert law ? What is purpose of log
It becomes clear when we study derivation of this law...
But there is no particular reason for it

Mostly we take frequency but we can also take wavelength

Excellent 👌🫡
Why this lamda max is important??? Plssss tell me
Why the non-conjugated alkenes does not participate in the uv spectrophotometer
Because the region of wavelength of UV Visible rays they absorb is not provided by uv vis spectrophotometer
Is this for fsc level????

I think 200 to 300 is the best answer
