Best tip for a long ride? Bike fit!

  • Work on your fit to ensure you can sustain long efforts in the saddle, equally distributing the effort on the leg muscles and glutes. Cramps could possibly mean an inefficient position where the strain is localised to a particular muscle.

    what do you think about utilising a power meter / heart rate monitor? what is your take on that?

      I'm not using them, but if you want to train with data readings they are very useful. For now I have been using a feel approach

      @@gimmyelhelou5469 I never had a bike fit, I progressively adjusted myself. And I still do, little movements here and there. However I took a lot of inspiration from James's videos with Cade. He's at bicycle in Richmond.

    What chain ring are you using? Brand?

      This was a standard 52/36 Shimano 105, I then changed the outer ring to a 53 round Absolute Black, while keeping the 36 for climbing. I have an 11-30 cassette. I can have top speed and good climbing at the same time.
