I've been a fan ever since then, they've never let the fan base down by disappointing them with a garbage product. It was always anything but that. A product that by it's very design was meant to lift the consciousness of the collective and entertain us at the same time. It's not a coincidence that record labels started to quickly move in a more negative and effectively ignore this kind of Hip Hop in favor of the more negative/violent/misogynistic/celebrating material, alcohol and drug cultures. The drill rap genre is the end result of their efforts. The world needs Chuck D and voices like his now more than ever!

An important band in any genre. They have a lot to say. These guys and Reggae music taught a young white kid a lot about African history and the plight of the black man.. More than the schools for sure.

I live in a very white part of the world, this album taught me more about racism and black culture than any educational establishment. The whole album is great. P.E. is a great rabbit hole for anyone to travel down.
I heard "By the Time I Get to Arizona" by PE which is about Arizona refusing to recognize MLK day until after the NFL pulled the Super Bowl out of AZ (not ancient history- 1993!!!!!) It made me so mad that I ended up majoring in African American studies

According to the official PE biography Johnny Juice Rosado did most of the scratches on Yo and Nations. Juice was more advanced but TX did some. TX mostly scratched live. Unfortunately Juice got disrespected and TX got more credits and fame than he should. No dis to Terminator X, I just try to give credits to those that deserve it. I try to be as fair as possible.
