This is awesome! It’s about time to utilize cocoa to its full potential to benefit cocoa farmers and Ghanaians as a whole. Other African countries may also follow suit.
This is a good development for us cocoa farmers in west Africa in particular Ghana, Nigeria and ivory Coast / Good job keep it up and extend it to Nigeria latter
Congratulations guys, Great that it has finally been commercialised. I am not surprised. When growing up in the Caribbean children use to enjoy sucking the outer juicy coating from the cocoa beans.
Why doesn't Africa use the minds of its citizens to come up with innovations with its resources? Why does it always run to the west and east for help? I refuse to believe it doesn't have enough talent within its citizenry to make the progress to enhance it citizens' lives. Switzerland is licking its chops.
We don't lack the talent and that i know for sure. The problem is how much willing governments and private enterprise is, to invest in the talent! Because all over the world, we are the talent that is making things happen! At least in my own little corner i can confirm that we don't lack the talent!!
So the Swiss want to work with Ghana now? Why does the West always do this to Ghana. They always wait until Ghana is on their way out or threatening to leave before begrudgingly somewhat agreeing to cooperate. This is why China has gained such a stronghold in Africa. They don't wait until you demand for your share before cooperating with you.
An excellent innovation certainly, but we should have thought of this long ago. Cocoa is not the only fruit, has the cashew fruit been given another look? How about our sweet berry or “taami” in the ga language? There are several others out there. Let us wake up Ghana.
SoGgababeeded someone from Switzerland to shoetgem you can get juice from cocoa. Africans have no innovation for themselves. Every fruit and vegetable can make juice. That is basic. Sour soup grows all over Ghana and Ghanians also do not make juice from soursop
Excellent innovation. They need to be supported to open more factories in Ghana to employ some of the teaming unemployed youths.

Glad for the discovery, but I wish the company was solely owned by a Ghanaian.

@@annodomini911 One item I didn't mention and it is this. Too many so called African leaders keep their palms outstretched.
@@linzierogers5024 so true......
I thought you use the pulp to ferment the seeds that gives the chocolate flavour.
I hope Ghanians or DIASPORA will open the same processing business (there are plenty of cocao fruits to make juice or wine /beer from to sell!!
When will Africa leaders learn

Before talking about export please saturate the local market. Where is the Ekumfi pineapple juice in shops in the capital?
