Really would have loved to see this album finished and see the progression of Finch... Say Hello to Sunshine was just incredible and ahead of it's time, the ep was awesome too. The reunion tour was nice and all but i liked the newer stuff better, nothing else like it.
Love it. I liked say hello to sunshine, but it wasn't one of my favorite albums out there, and I was hoping they wouldn't go back to say hello to sunshine style, thank god in their new EP they didn't , this song is like a mixture between SHTS and WIITB, really wished they finished their third full length album. I love these WIITB tours, but part if me would rather have them back then doing these tours. These guys are the best and I'm still pissed of they didn't finish their third album world of
@Doglovsers101, I have to respectfully disagree with you, personally, that WIITB was "a better" album than Say Hello To Sunshine. I mean, I can't fully disagree if you're speaking of success in terms of album sales, or what was more "popular" in the mainstream. However, from a listeners standpoint, their was so much more depth and intricacy to Say Hello To Sunshine.... I had the pleasure of meeting Randy after a show outside SOMA San Diego one night, and he himself told me that they "were only kids" when they wrote WIITB. I mean, dude, it's just a lot of pic slides and emo-style chord progressions and breakdowns. Even the lyrics are novice in comparison. The level of effort and growth that the entire band has to put forth to pull off the songs on, and more importantly the effect the listener can get from listening to Sunshine is in every possible way superior to What it is to burn. Also, this song is pretty good, I miss these guys.
your right in success WIITB won that aspect, but I love both albums, but WIITB means a lot more to me, when I was younger my dad played WIITB all the time and that's how I got into finch,Both albums are fantastic, but think I honestly think they are not going to have SHTS anniversary tour because it wasn't as succesfull as WIITB.
In reality WIITB was a better album than say hello to sunshine, but if they stuck with the what it is to burn style, the band would slowly fade away and people would lose interest in the old punk, alternative rock style, this is what what post hardcore haas become now, and people should stop hating on say hello to sunshine because it's not Finch's fault. People need to realize that this is post hardcore music now.
