This was a deeply profound moment. Music like this when also sung the way this was, unlocks deeper recesses of the mind that remain otherwise shut. Thank you.

Except Bryn Terfel is not really a baritone. He is the present icon bass-baritone. Him, D'Arcangelo and Hvorostovsky are "it", that is "the" operatic bass-baritone.
@@robincouton3954 You hit there a point I wonder about recently( as layman, amateur singer) It would be nice if "Fach" corresponded completely with a certain area of length of the vocal folds. (between ... mm and ..mm = tenor, etc;.) And this was longtime my idea how it worked but there is more than that: the vocal weight, the style, the training+height of the larynx, the resonators and those voices in between who could be trained as either. I heard once a beautiful light lyric baritone but years later, he sounded much more like a bass. Guess he had trained all the time on his low register. I didn't like it now that much but still, as you say, it's possible Fach is often not really so fixed.
Terfel's voice is well suited to Wagner operas. D. Hvorostovsky's voice is suited to more lyric opera and of course to the souful Russian songs that he sang so well.
My friend, it is nostrae, not Nastrae. On Ave "ve" should be much softer than "A". "Ma" in "Maria" is too short. You are treating the note like an ornament. Disappointing.

He's a bass-baritone. Not a baritone. Those are two different Fachs.

As one of the best musicians I know says, there's no such thing as "a baritone", only a voice singing a baritone part.
@@robincouton3954 ??????? What bulshit is your best- musician-ever friend saying? Ffs!

A bass-baritone can either mean a high bass or lower baritone in my opinion soooo 🤷♂🤷♂🤷♂🤷♂
Super
❤️❤️❤️
Bryn Terfel......the greatest, no, some say his compatriot, Tom Jones, haha
Margaret Price had a lovely voice.
바흐는 없고 구노의 선율만을 살린 연주
