"TIME TABLETS" art opening featured musical performances by Ty Segall, Tomorrows Tulips, and The Growlers. Here is but one of the many songs played that historic night.
I never heard garage rock so good and I grew up in the heyday of it during the 60's. Great cover song and i like it better played by Ty than I do from Them. Anyway, about those wearing the scarves..........maybe it was just freaken cold that day!
And I feel the backside noseblunt rail in bakey2g was mighty slick. This was the song for his vid part, for those un beknownst, the orig van morrison? i think it was...
This song was written and most famously performed by a band called Them which featured Van Morrison on vocals then later covered by an American band called Shadows of the Knight,
@Kparme if you have ever listened to any of his other music you would know that his music is a throwback to 50 - 60's garage rock. It wouldnt sound right if he had a "modern" flair. The lo-fi sound is what i love about ty segall. It actually takes a bit of knowledge and talent to get that certain sound nowdays.
Im tired of the use 'hipster' in the world. Its just people who enjoy underground music, okay? Some may actually just be snobby assholes but who cares? They're just enjoying the music.
tell me what's wrong about being a hipster, cause I can't figure out what people mean with it so it just looks like they're just pointing at everyone that has (modern) style and I can't make up what's wrong about that
Alice Cohen nice lil dinosaur jr. avatar u got there, alice. u fucking hipster. sike, i love u! fuck these hipster bashing assholes that project their phony, wanna-be personalities onto people that they claim try too hard to be cool when in actuality they are the real deal, try-hard posers of the world.
Love Gloria ! Its the pure Rock'n'Roll man, and Ty is really rockin it all out Yay! (if your new to gloria, check out Jimi Hendrix version, then you can die...)
when you grow up out of your little shell that your bundled up in, you'll realize it dosen't take an auto tuner to make someones voice right. only a real musician can take the worst of what they have and make something beautiful out of it
@TheCrackSpackle I don't understand. Why would he want to do a throwback to those old crummy-sounding records? I was in a garage rock band as a kid; we were called the Seeds. We had a little hit "pushin too hard" that was pretty popular in the juke halls and dance circuits around LA. But man, let me tell you, I really would have killed for some of the click tracks and midi phasers that I have now.
Why do you want this young man to remain downtrodden? I agree that he makes the best of a bad situation, but that doesn't mean he deserves the bad situation. I have a digital 48 track pro tools set up in orinda. I think it'd be great to get some midi synched up to these songs, give em a modern flair.
Just take a moment of silence and accept it: you’re a hipster dawg. This ain’t the “hipster for dummies” man. You’re deep in the community on a ty segall video only found by certified hipsters. It’s not lame unless you let it affect you and it has. Stop it.
Hipster or not...it still doesn't break the fact that Ty is a very talented musician and look at where he is at now. And i'm sure he is doing a lot more than what you're doing.
the coolest part about this is that the growlers are in the crowd.
Charles Moothart just chillin in the background
I'm old school, this is awesome
Oh Ty. I'd go to your room in a heartbeat
Great cover. Crazy how old that song is, and yet still so good. Ty Segall's really got something going on! Just got turned on to him.
nsbd90now I like to believe he was ahead of his time, at that point.

This is the sexiest crowd of garagies I've ever seen...
classic style garage rawk, dude. classic style. i can picture jim greco backlipping wilshire 15 right now
Dude Grec's had a brief but gnarly mark on the skate society. Lol you remember the PissDrunx?
And I feel the backside noseblunt rail in bakey2g was mighty slick. This was the song for his vid part, for those un beknownst, the orig van morrison? i think it was...
But, as is common in the life fast die young dimension I feel Jim Greco burnt as fast as he lit...
ty is just the coolest
Ty segall is doing it right.
This footage looks like it's from the 70's. This is fucking awesome. I wish I was there.

Ty Segall could eat The Growlers with his face in one bite.

I think Ty's sweater is blue. In Spanish, you would call it azul. I like this song. GOD YES! Ok.
when you grow up out of your little shell that your bundled up in, you'll realize it dosen't take an auto tuner to make someones voice right. only a real musician can take the worst of what they have and make something beautiful out of it

So what are you? Something much cooler? A stoner, punk, psychology student?
What effects is he using on his vocals? just a little bit of reverb?
@Kparme
and i'm sure he knows alot more about music than you if you couldnt figure out that he is going for a lo-fi sound. Obvious is obvious
