For anyone curious, SLS heats up the entire build volume to a temperature and uses a laser to melt the powder together, whereas MJF uses a fusing agent that absorbs energy and a heating lamp passes over the surface. The absorbed energy by the fusing agent melts the powder together. MJF is quite a bit faster than SLS and can have better resolution and generally a tiny bit more detailed (HP has a lot of experience with liquid-jetting, go figure). MJF also is completely anisotropic, but SLS can have slight variations in material properties between different axis.
Additionally MJF can have full color if the printer deposits ink simultaneously, you can imagine this would be quite easily done since the fusing agent is already ink-jetted onto the powder bed. It's really cool to play around with.

For anyone wondering "Multi-Jet Fusion" is essentially SLS, but you Spray a Resin/Glue and often a Dye
So you kind of print photos on each "slice" of powder instead of a piece of paper.
Because you can spray dye, you can get full color as well (not all do this though)
Sometimes metal powders are used too for sintering it post-setting (higher resolution than FDM sinter methods + probably faster (due to the layer by layer instead of "toolpath" differences in speed) )
It's HP's name for this type of process i think, and uses all their existing printer experience i guess (they aren't making FDM printers obiously lol)

Uses an OTS Inkjet Printhead so the "ppi" of the printhead should be constant-ish so it would be high res.

Multi-jet is absolutely insane. Imagine multimaterial SLA where the resin is deposited with inkjet nozzles. The local 3D print services company in my area came to my office with a gear shift that looked like it was crafted from wood and had a vinyl/leather grip bonded to it, and also almost-convincing gear position markings (they were a bit blurry). They printed it in one go with zero post-processing, it was just nuts.

Hi Joel, what about making a video on what mods have to be done to a printer to print filaments that need 280-300°C? I have a cr-10 that I love, but I would like to use filaments that need higher nozzle temperature.
