It was my first time sea fishing, and whilst you were there you gave me a rig, a load of bait and some great tips. Absolutely top bloke! My cameo in the video was of me being snagged - not the fame I wanted haha
Sweet a new channel for the sea anglers to watch. I’m going South Wales next week. I went last year and I had the best fishing I’ve ever had in a long time.
Love this, ta very much for this as im tryng out frairs point next friday.. for the same 9.5m tide.. this was the perfict vid to showcase it.. now i have a better idea of what the rocks are like to scale and know it will be safe amd nice sandy bottom to fish my flapper with my hermit crab baits i got from nells point.. last sessoin. Definatly need more local anglers like you to show beginniers these venues local to them 😊
Just found your channel and subscribed. I'm in Australia but have lots of family in South Wales so am always interested in any Welsh content especially when it comes to fishing. Keep up the great work. Tight lines.
Enjoyed your video. I live in Sussex and targeted stingray this week for the 1st time on my birthday. Caught one 2nd chuck and had a 2nd stingray on the other rod at the same time. Landed one, not huge, estimated 8lb, the other broke me off. Very lucky as I know people try for ages and don't catch them. Hoping for a tope from the shore next...
Went after tope last year and had two runs on frozen mackel that had been defrosted didn't hook up, so next day changed the rigs slightly bit more finesse and managed to get about 12 fresh Joey's in the day and then back to the tope in the night missed two runs and then landed what I reckon was 40 or just shy of 40lb and then another straight away probably in the low 30s. Rekon I could have had more but I was done in 😂 on a pen tidal aswell 🤣
Great vid mate i also set myself targets achieved 2 so far this year with my first spotted ray and pb small eyed of 10.2lb. Chasing my first tope tonight
@Pinnacle Angling thanks m8 👍never no might even bump into each other at a venue as I live in rhoose and you fish down this way a lot 👌 only found your channel the other day and been binge watching episodes really enjoying them 👏
Good video. I set myself a goal of getting my first Smooth hound and a ray. I’ve caught both. Now I’m hunting for bigger rays. Have only caught small ones with the biggest being 4lb. So a decent size one will be the icing on the cake for me.
In January I had two 16 lb plus eels on consecutive casts I've also had a pb blonde of 20lb 11oz in February and a pb spotted ray of just over 5 lb in February and I had a thornback of 11lb 1oz and some good small eyed's up to nearly doubles lately 🎣🎣👍
Goal this year 6 rays Had thorny in the Mersey Small eyed ray Anglesey Travelling from Liverpool this weekend fishing monknash lw then cold knapp hw was going to try friars point but think it would b 2 busy 🤞blonde /spotted Then later on in the year south coast for undulate n a stinger hopefully
Well done on the Blonde mate. I parked in the main car park under the bridge as it was Monday day time. It cost £6 and is about a 10 minute walk to the mark. Good luck mate. Thanks for watching. 👍🏻
If I remember rightly it was a Bluey and squid bait mate. Killer for all species of rays. 👍🏻 Smooth hounds in the Bristol Channel usually fall to either crab or squid baits.
