After paying $150 phone was locked again because of some of the app I d/l and use. Nate helped get it unlocked again after I came back 2 weeks later. Fast forward a few weeks again and the S23 Ultra is locked again by Samsung remotely. Now I have to send the phone in for another $150?! That does not make any sense.
No different than the first time, we're happy to redo the temporary bypass again at no charge. As has already been explained to you, the additional $150 is for our new permanent removal option - and that's a totally different and separate procedure. And as also explained to you, that's a 25% discount from what the normal cost is.
@MNMobileGuy I don't think anyone is looking for temporary solutions. Why wouldn't this have been an option that you presented first? Having to deal with this the last two times and each time taking about an hour is not an easy fix. It is time-consuming, and to not know when Samsung will nuke the phone again is a huge issue.

I'm positive 30% of people got scammed and 70% tried to get over on Samsung either by not sending in their trade in that was credited for the deal or signed up for a installment plan and never paid and now need help
Well that's part of it, sure. But the internet is also FULL of people posting about how Samsung screwed them over on a legitimate trade-in, either by claiming the device got lost or never arrived (even though the tracking number said it did), or claiming it arrived damaged, or it was the wrong model, or they didn't erase their info when they actually did, etc
Does it have to be factory reset. They disabled my phone I bought rather than the trade and it was purchased under my daughter's acct. I spent an entire afternoon trying to fix this with Samsung. I was on hold for 30 to 45 min at a time for at least 28 phone calls.
How does Samsung even do this? Can they do it to even old phones like note 8? And do people need to go to you everytime Samsung locks the phone after the factory reset or you can prevent them by locking Samsung out of the phone?

But it's unnerving to know they are capable of this, for if they are able to lock a phone you paid in full then they are able to install patches infringing privacy without users knowledge. The problem shown in the video has nothing to do with a SIM/network lock - it's something totally different. There's a high likelihood that the device is already network unlocked

I have an S22ultra with this message. The problem is, you can't go to any settings because when you set the phone up, and you hit finish, that stupid message pops back on.
We already stated that it would take a few weeks. You're certainly welcome to buy another device to use for the time being, and then return it at the end of the return period or when we finalize our method - whichever comes first

Mine just got locked Samsung s22 ultra after a month use I bought it from Facebook seller( but outside deal) the seller said he bought it unlocked device directly from Samsung website now message pops up saying " Samsung temporarily disabled this device because it was reported as lost in transit or there is an outstanding balance due from failure to meet trade in terms. to unlock, check the email used at the time of purchased for a message sent by Samsung for the next steps . your device will be unlocked the following business day after a successful payments . please help if you can unlock it .

All firmware flashing is blocked on a device that has this lock. But even if it weren't, no, a simple firmware flash wouldn't solve the problem. It wouldn't be a very secure lock if it were that easy to defeat

But it's been 3 month already since I first ever called after the first. Month of you telling me. arent you promoting for this dishonest selling to keep doing this as you are helping to get the devices unlock? I mean it is really easy for the people buying these devices to ask for the proof or purchase where it will say if it was bought using a trade in or full pay, This is one of the first request they should do to the seller an not just buying cheap cell to anyone. being a establish store wondering if this kind of videos couldnt cause issues to you eventually from Samsung.
Even if the proof of purchase says that trade-in credit was used, that doesn't tell the buyer whether the original owner actually received the credit or not. So that wouldn't do any good
@@MNMobileGuy you are right on that, but at least it will turn on a red flag and will tell you to pass and look somewhere else or you can see when it was purchase and if time enough has passed the you know you are on the safe side because the cell hasn't already been lock. The point is not to promote this people to keep doing business like nothing happen until the trade-in program is shut down for people like this.

The only way to do it without a factory reset is to pay Samsung what is owed on the device and get the unlock PIN from them

Yes, it can also be called that. Samsung has lots of different lock types, so the terms are sometimes used interchangeably
Go in your developer settings enable dev USB debugging that way when you put it in recovery mode it works without paying anyone

All firmware flashing is blocked on a device that has this lock. But even if it weren't, no, a simple firmware flash wouldn't solve the problem. It wouldn't be a very secure lock if it were that easy to defeat

I mean it is really easy for the people buying these devices to ask for the proof or purchase where it will say if it was bought using a trade in or full pay, This is one of the first request they should do to the seller an not just buying cheap cell to anyone. being a establish store wondering if this kind of videos couldnt cause issues to you eventually from Samsung.
Even if the proof of purchase says that trade-in credit was used, that doesn't tell the buyer whether the original owner actually received the credit or not. So that wouldn't do any good
@@MNMobileGuy you are right on that, but at least it will turn on a red flag and will tell you to pass and look somewhere else or you can see when it was purchase and if time enough has passed the you know you are on the safe side because the cell hasn't already been lock. The point is not to promote this people to keep doing business like nothing happen until the trade-in program is shut down for people like this.
