    I found your channel while researching the Ooni Koda 12. Love your videos. They really helped me choose what I needed. So I just bought the Ooni Koda 12, an Ooni bamboo pizza peel and the short handled Gozney turning peel. I am also considering the Eppicotispai launch peel. Can't wait for it to arrive and to start making pizza.

    I totally agree with you have had my Ooni 12 inch oven for about the same as you ,there was a learning curve that took me awhile to figure it out! In one sentence the key to cooking a great pizza in this oven is heat up oven to 435 c or 815 f or there abouts put pizza in then turn flame down immediately to half or less and turn pizza as needed if you turn it down to much no harm done just turn it back up and watch pizza cook at least this is what works for me!

    I’m desperately looking for a pizza oven in your opinion which is better the Omni or the rocboxx. Also can either of these models be attached to a barbecue gas line that is on our house I would rather have a detached and Pam plumber then have to rely on propane. Any advice is totally appreciate it thank you.

      Hi - I am finding it takes about 5-7 minutes - but it depends on your climate - if its cold and windy it will take longer and vice versa! All the best with your new venture!!

    Only problem with the button is that it is placed in the back. I really would preferred that its placing was on the side, like Koda 16. Its markings i personally find a minor problem

    • @Got2EatPizza
      @Got2EatPizza  Год назад

      Yep - me too! I love it on the side with the Koda 16! And agree the markings are not clear - some viewers have used white permanent marker. I may try that!

    Hi, I’ve watched your videos many times. Thanks for sharing your experience and tips.
    I have had great pizzas from my Koda 12 but I have question. Does your get very sooty around the inside of the door and inside top? Mine does. Easy to clean the opening but I’m wondering about soot falling on the inside top. It seems excessive. Just wondering about you experience with this

    • @Got2EatPizza
      @Got2EatPizza  Год назад

      Hi! Thank you so much for watching! I haven’t had any soot from the gas at all so not sure why the gas would produce soot? It’s so clean from the gas I don’t need to clean it so not sure what’s happening there? Is it the type of gas being used maybe? I would only get that from wood but never from gas?? Sorry I can’t help here!

    Can you pls help me with my Koda 12? Mine produces too much soot as if the top coat of the inside is burning.that produces too much black smoke too.. My kodas fire at high is touching the upper lip of my oven.. Was it because of my exhaust fan that sucks the gas out of the oven when it is on? Or my burner doesnt really worked well? Can you anyone pls help? Thanks..

  • @JSTpacek

    mine was delivered to me in October 2020 and doesn't have an issue you mentioned - when I reach full flame I can't rotate dial further to the right. if I want to turn it off, I need to push the dial in and rotate.
    To me it happened maybe twice or thrice that I rotated dial but nothing happened. started pushing the dial in and it started working as expected. Also wish the dial was on the side and full flame /min flame/current flame marks were clearer and visible in poor light.

    • @Got2EatPizza
      @Got2EatPizza  Год назад

      Hi - yes, thanks for this. I’ve been updated by comments in here that Ooni updated the oven with a dial that stops you turning it off at max flame and yours could well be one that had that change. I agree too, but didn’t mention it but should’ve - that I would also prefer the dial at the side, just like I prefer the Koda 16’s being on the side too. 👍🍕

  • @MissBellaboo702

    Sorry for the typos I was using Siri to type what I was asking is can you hook either of these models to a gas line in your house or is it strictly propane? Also which model did you prefer the Ooni or the Rocboxx? So many options out there I don’t know which is the best one to pick.

    • @Got2EatPizza
      @Got2EatPizza  2 года назад +2

      Hi - I only use them with propane gas bottles and as far as I’m aware they are not designed to be used with natural gas - just to be used with propane bottles only. The Koda are gas only models, the Rocc can have a wood burner attachment too. I’ts a difficult choice as they are both super ovens and cook great pizza! There are other oven brands that do have natural gas adaptors, the Ardore Pizza Party for example, so you may want to check that oven out too!

      Hi there! I didn't think anyone noticed that I was or wasn't tbh as no one has mentioned it!! 😂 I got my hair cut back to my normal length this week - it had grown only a few inches - it grows fast in the Summer. The Koda 12 is not my favourite now - the Koda 16!

    I used the OONI the day I puchades the oven and while washing the stone afterwards the stone slipt in 1/2. OONI said that was not a covered item so had to put out another $50 for a new stone. The product is not worth the money. If you want to make Pizzas just buy a stone and cook in your own oven and save the Money

    • @Got2EatPizza
      @Got2EatPizza  Год назад

      Oh no! Argh! The stone will crack if it’s washed with water due to the heat and cold - I’ve got a vid that shows how to clean the stone without using water ruclips.net/video/FUZaChuTpS8/видео.html. I hope you do try again with the oven because it’s amazing to use!
