We weren't taught to properly vet a man because the elders didn't even know how to do it correctly. Now, we are finally having the conversations we should of been having years ago but its never to late to break generational curses and there is hope for the generation under us.

I heard a few years back that Matthew was interested in someone else but married Tina because she was pregnant with Beyoncé. Correct me if I’m wrong. My parents split when I was 8 years old. The friends that I had all had their dad’s in the house and I’m the only one who broke all of my generational curses. In fact, the ones who had their dad’s in the home were neglected and sought external validation. Lots of promiscuity and terrible partners. The dad’s never did anything including when a few of them experienced DV.
I personally don't think her dad liked Jay Z he just tolerated him but wanted her to marry him because of his status at the time. She was young and he was an older gentleman to look up to. The rich only hang with the rich I think they took her away from her boyfriend with her career to meet a more suitable mate at that time. The older men always chased the young ones even til this day and its crazy lol
I am from the Era before the Internet, so most of the time you end up dating someone you grew up with so we didn't have to Vet. Vetting wasn't the problem sometimes people grow apart.
