Because she is hard to work with meaning shes always late, then not ready when she does arrive. Her demands were ridiculous and sent the budget through the roof. What she failed to realize in the 90's is that it was a loan so she went business bankrupt. So that means no musicians, background singers, touring crew, recording crew etc. Without the bells and whistles you have open mic night. It repeated two more times and so once R&B Divas came around she still owed but was able to start booking live performances again as a strategy to pay the money back. Once it got paid they started to promote her work. Its like a large student loan. Entertainment BUSINESS.
OMG been wanting a gospel album from Keke since she broke down singing for Every Mountain. No gospel singer can TOUCH her. Yes shes light skinned and beautiful and her snap back is crazy after 10 kids..people just need to accept her damn near perfection and move on.

Because she is hard to work with meaning shes always late, then not ready when she does arrive. Her demands were ridiculous and sent the budget through the roof. What she failed to realize in the 90's is that it was a loan so she went business bankrupt. So that means no musicians, background singers, touring crew, recording crew etc. Without the bells and whistles you have open mic night. It repeated two more times and so once R&B Divas came around she still owed but was able to start booking live performances again as a strategy to pay the money back. Once it got paid they started to promote her work. Its like a large student loan. Entertainment BUSINESS.
I wish she would just take over gospel and allow the Holy Spirit to have his way!!

A couple things here. I don't think she was hating at all. Did you notice quite a bit of the audience didn't stand either? Let that marinate. That said, Keke is undeniably an awesome vocalist, but I wonder about her motives. I just recently saw her sipping cocktails while singing R&B. Does she desire to minister in song or is this just another singing gig? You can move an audience to worship without hitting a high note or showing off any riffing skills, if you're anointed.
