  • Kintsukuroi is the Japanese art of repairing pottery with gold, a practice that maintains that a piece is even more beautiful for having been broken. Newfoundland's Hey Rosetta! have interpreted this concept remarkably in their song, Kintsukuroi. They recently spent some time in the Collective Arts Black Box, where they stripped down the song and, appropriately, put it back together in a most beautiful fashion.

I come back to this video every now and then. I am glad this video remains online, to pay tribute to an exquisite band and magical music.

Wonderful, wonderful. By far, my favourite band. So lyrically and musically creative, unlike anything else I've ever heard.

One of the best bands coming out of Canada right now hands down. Can't wait until the show in Feb!

This song is magical. Tim's thoughts at the end modestly sum up their album, I'm loving every minute of it. Lots of love from Toronto!

This stripped down version makes for an almost more poignant message. Is this available for download?
