The writer hasn't been to karaoke before, that's for sure. No one goes to karaoke expecting good singing, they expect to cut loose and all be idiots in front of each other.
Demon Dean is far from the worst singer I've ever heard at karaoke. But even bad signers get applauded, because it takes courage to get up there.
