    I don't miss working on the big stuff for one reason that being it's BIG stuff and has lots of everything that has to be replaced. When you get 65 years old you can appreciate the smaller stuff as far as overhauling things. What you are doing is at least a two man job. That fork lift sure is handy and I strongly recommend gloves cause those blades will slice you open like a vegomatic. I'll hand it to you you keep your stuff in good repair and I agree this year is going to be a penny pinch year.

      Doesn’t qualify as big until the blades are 24” or bigger.

    Very good video. I’ve never seen bearing guard that sounds interesting I could use them. Thanks for all your time videoing really enjoy them. The videos from Iowa are so interesting. The gentleman talking about when he worked in the dyno room sounds fun.

    You ever hear anyone say farming is not as hard as it used to be? It's as hard as it's always been, just a different level of hardness.

    Unfortunately here in Arkansas its go time but we keep getting enough strategically placed 1-2 inch rains that keep us out of the field. But it may dry up enough this week. Bout time to start getting rice in the ground , then corn, then beans.

      Don’t complain to much. The way the weather has been going bipolar could be into a drought by next week.

    It’s stupid to hang two disc blades past the end bearing. On our White 30’ disc I installed shorter shafts on the front wings to eliminate it down to one and no more bent shafts. Glad your driveshaft repair worked out and saved you money.

    Those ❤spring things you were talking about welding and redrilling , why not drill out to a larger size and installing a bushing . You could make the bushing replaceable , or weld one in

    • @Oliver66FarmBoy
      @Oliver66FarmBoy  4 месяца назад

      It has bushings in it now. And the holes are wore so bad there wouldn’t be any meat left by the time you got it bored out large enough to clean up the slot.

    Buy a bigger 3/4 inch airline and the big Milton p style coupler it will make that 1 inch impact an entirely different animal.
    I put a 25' ft whip hose on ours, plumbed directly into the air tank with no coupler. As 99.9 % on the time the transmissions are sitting on the workbench.
    I work on semi truck transmissions taking 2-inch yolk nuts off all day. 200psi on the line helps too haha!
