I'm truly amazed at what the spirit of God has done and is doing in my heart, and these teachings are blessed confirmation that everlasting life starts now, making us foreigners on Earth as citizens of the kingdom of Heaven.

Hope everything is going well with your path. Things get more apparent the longer you walk. The world gets louder, stay in prayer , and read his word so you don't get discouraged. Let his peace be over your heart and give your worry and anxieties to him in prayer. If you want to talk ever or wonder things feel free to ask in prayer, or ask her I'll help and the Lord shines light of understanding and wisdom when you ask. Best wishes Hugs.

Let me understand "born again". Jesus ( God in the flesh and a Jew) speaks to a Jewish leader and tells Nicodemus that he needs to be born again. Jesus came unto His own (Jn 1:11) and came to the lost sheep of the house of Israel - He answered, Matt 15:24 KJV But he answered and said, I am not sent but unto the lost sheep of the house of Israel.
My problem with this term "born again" is that Jesus was still alive when He said this. This means that the cross, His shed blood, His burial and resurrection is NOT part of the term "born again".
Please tell me how you integrate this term to a Jew and to Israel ("ye" must be born again) into something that is a requirement for the body of Christ when it doesn't include the cross but the gospel of the grace of God Jesus gave for the body of Christ does require the cross work?

To view “water” as physical birth undermines the point Jesus is making. Nicodemus was focused on the physical, while Jesus emphasized the spiritual and was trying to get Nicodemus to think in spiritual terms.
Try and put yourself in Nicodemus’ shoes: he was born a Jew and in his mind he was born into the kingdom of God, the kingdom of Israel, which was a physical kingdom. No wonder he says, “How can I be born again?” But Jesus explains it is a spiritual birth into a spiritual kingdom!
“That which is born of the flesh is flesh.” (v6a) Jesus is essentially saying, “Yes, you’ve been born into the kingdom of Israel, but that is a fleshly birth.”
“That which is born of the spirit is spirit.” (v6b) Jesus continues by emphasizing that if you want to be part of the Kingdom of God you must be born from above (or again), which is a spiritual birth of water and the spirit.

  • @kac0404
    @kac0404 8 месяцев назад +1

Jesus is not talking about two births (a physical birth and a spiritual birth), but one birth involving two elements: water and the working of the Spirit. Jesus is also not talking about two baptisms (water baptism and Holy Spirit baptism), but what the Holy Spirit accomplishes AT the one, water baptism. This same imagery is used elsewhere in scripture (while the usage of “water” to refer to physical birth is not to be found anywhere in scripture):
Titus 3:4-7 “But when the goodness and loving kindness of God our Savior appeared, (5) he saved us, not because of works done by us in righteousness, but according to his own mercy, by the washing of regeneration and renewal of the Holy Spirit, (6) whom he poured out on us richly through Jesus Christ our Savior, (7) so that being justified by his grace we might become heirs according to the hope of eternal life.”
Acts 2:38 “And Peter said to them, ‘Repent and be baptized every one of you in the name of Jesus Christ for the forgiveness of your sins, and you will receive the gift of the Holy Spirit.’”

All Christians believe in the role of baptism in the life of the Christian. The differences which exist are differences of emphasis--of the necessity of baptism--and not of the call to be baptized. For 2000 years Catholic Christians have believed that in the sacrament of baptism the individual is both
regenerated through water and the Holy Spirit and
truly incorporated into the Church of Jesus Christ.
    Jn 3:5
Jesus answered (Nicodemus), "Amen, amen, I say to you, no one can enter the kingdom of God without being born of water and Spirit."
    Mt 28:19
Go, therefore, and make disciples of all nations, baptizing them in the name of the Father, and of the Son, and of the holy Spirit,
    Mt 3:11
I am baptizing you with water, for repentance, but the one who is coming after me is mightier than I. I am not worthy to carry his sandals. He will baptize you with the holy Spirit and fire.
    Gal 3:25-27
But now that faith has come, we are no longer under a disciplinarian. For through faith you are all children of God in Christ Jesus. For all of you who were baptized into Christ have clothed yourselves with Christ.
    1 Cor 12:12-13
As a body is one though it has many parts, and all the parts of the body, though many, are one body, so also Christ. For in one Spirit we were all baptized into one body, whether Jews or Greeks, slaves or free persons, and we were all given to drink of one Spirit.
    Acts 2:37-38
Now when they heard this, they were cut to the heart, and they asked Peter and the other apostles, "What are we to do, my brothers?" Peter (said) to them, "Repent and be baptized, every one of you, in the name of Jesus Christ for the forgiveness of your sins; and you will receive the gift of the holy Spirit."
    Acts 10:44-47
While Peter was still speaking these things, the holy Spirit fell upon all who were listening to the word. The circumcised believers who had accompanied Peter were astounded that the gift of the holy Spirit should have been poured out on the Gentiles also, for they could hear them speaking in tongues and glorifying God. Then Peter responded, "Can anyone withhold the water for baptizing these people, who have received the holy Spirit even as we have?"
    Acts 8:11-13
They paid attention to him (Simon Magus) because he had astounded them by his magic for a long time, but once they began to believe Philip as he preached the good news about the kingdom of God and the name of Jesus Christ, men and women alike were baptized. Even Simon himself believed and, after being baptized, became devoted to Philip.
    Titus 3:5
... not because of any righteous deeds we had done but because of his mercy, he saved us through the bath of rebirth (baptism) and renewal by the holy Spirit.
    1 Pet 3:20-21
God patiently waited in the days of Noah during the building of the ark, in which a few persons, eight in all, were saved through water. This prefigured baptism, which saves you now.
    Rom 6:3-4
Or are you unaware that we who were baptized into Christ Jesus were baptized into his death? We were indeed buried with him through baptism into death, so that, just as Christ was raised from the dead by the glory of the Father, we too might live in newness of life.
    Col 2:12
You were buried with him in baptism, in which you were also raised with him through faith in the power of God, who raised him from the dead.
The teaching authority of the Church, the Magisterium, has clearly stated the role of baptism in the life of the Christian.
    Lateran Council IV, 1215
Infallibly defined that baptism was a sacrament of the Church.
    Council of Lyons II, 1274
Infallibly redefined that baptism was one of the seven sacraments.
    Council of Trent, 1545 - 1563
Again infallibly defined the seven sacraments listing baptism as the opening gateway and foundation of the sacraments.
    Infant Baptism *********************
Catholic Christians among other denominational Christians, e.g., Anglicans, Episcopalians, Lutherans, etc., believe in the efficacy and practice of baptizing infants.
    Acts 2:38-39
Peter (said) to them, "Repent and be baptized, every one of you, in the name of Jesus Christ for the forgiveness of your sins; and you will receive the gift of the holy Spirit. For the promise is made to you and to your children and to all those far off, whomever the Lord our God will call."
The New Testament speaks of the baptism of "whole households" which in the normal Greek usage of the time included children.
    1 Cor 1:16
I (Paul) baptized the household of Stephanas also ...
    Acts 11:13-14
He related to us how he had seen (the) angel standing in his house, saying, 'Send someone to Joppa and summon Simon, who is called Peter, who will speak words to you by which you and all your household will be saved.'
    Acts 16:15
After she (Lydia of Thyatira) and her household had been baptized, she offered us an invitation...
    Acts 16:30-32
Then he (the jailer) brought them (Paul and Silas) out and said, "Sirs, what must I do to be saved?" And they said, "Believe in the Lord Jesus and you and your household will be saved." So they spoke the word of the Lord to him and to everyone in his house.
    Acts 18:8
Crispus, the synagogue official, came to believe in the Lord along with his entire household.
To the Colossians, Paul paralleled baptism and circumcision. Circumcision was normally administered to children eight days after birth.
    Col 2:11-12
In him you were also circumcised with a circumcision not administered by hand, by stripping off the carnal body, with the circumcision of Christ. You were buried with him in baptism, in which you were also raised with him through faith in the power of God, who raised him from the dead.
To the Corinthians, Paul recalled that just as all the Jews of the Exodus (including children) were baptized into Moses by passing through the Red Sea, they were actually being blessed by Christ.
    1 Cor 10:1-4
I do not want you to be unaware, brothers, that our ancestors were all under the cloud and all passed through the sea, and all of them were baptized into Moses in the cloud and in the sea. All ate the same spiritual food, and all drank the same spiritual drink, for they drank from a spiritual rock that followed them, and the rock was the Christ.
In Mark's Gospel, we have Jesus' own teaching on children.
    Mk 10:13-16
And people were bringing children to him that he might touch them, but the disciples rebuked them. When Jesus saw this he became indignant and said to them, "Let the children come to me; do not prevent them, for the kingdom of God belongs to such as these." ... Then he embraced them and blessed them, placing his hands on them.
The Roman Catholic Church teaches that baptism is necessary for salvation after the promulgation of the Gospel for everyone, both children and adults.
    Jn 3:5
Jesus answered (Nicodemus), "Amen, amen, I say to you, no one can enter the kingdom of God without being born of water and Spirit."
It is frequently asked by non-believers how an infant is capable of making an act of faith in order to receive baptism. The response of the Catholic Church is to follow the Biblical example of Christ. Jesus accepted the faith of others as an occasion of salvation, forgiveness and healing of another. The Church has always done likewise. In infant baptism, the faith of parents and sponsors is required.
    Mk 2:1-5
When Jesus returned to Capernaum ... They came bringing to him a paralytic carried by four men. Unable to get near Jesus because of the crowd, they opened up the roof above him. After they had broken through, they let down the mat on which the paralytic was lying. When Jesus saw their faith, he said to the paralytic, "Child, your sins are forgiven."
    Mt 8:5-13
When he entered Capernaum, a centurion approached him and appealed to him, saying, "Lord, my servant is lying at home paralyzed, suffering dreadfully." He said to him, "I will come and cure him." The centurion said in reply, "Lord, I am not worthy to have you enter under my roof; only say the word and my servant will be healed." ... When Jesus heard this, he was amazed and said to those following him, "Amen, I say to you, in no one in Israel have I found such faith." ... And Jesus said to the centurion, "You may go; as you have believed, let it be done for you." And at that very hour (his) servant was healed.
The constant teaching of the Church attests to the baptism of infants.
    Pope Zosimus (417 - 418)
Approved a teaching of a local council at Carthage which condemned those who denied baptism to newborn infants.
    Pope Celestine I (422 - 432)
Taught that both children and infants need the sacrament of regeneration.
Pope Innocent II (1130 - 1143) and the Council of Lateran IV
Condemned those who denied the baptism of children.
    Pope Innocent III (1198 - 1216)
Condemned those who said that baptism of children was useless.
Pope Clement V (1305 - 1314) in the Council of Vienne
Defended the necessity of baptism of children.

May I suggest, Nicodemus being restless from the reports of Jesus.....he more than likely wasn't able to sleep.
The Holy Spirit like the wind, made His way inside the inner Sanctum of a religious order. Quickened Nicodemus to new life, this is why Nicodemus was beginning to see the kingdom. Jesus told him as much, he just had not caught up to the reality. God knew before the world began, who the two men that would perform the most important burial in history. We are born again by first, repenting and being water baptized in the name of Jesus Christ. During water baptism the Holy Spirit remits our sins by spiritually circumcising our conscience, removing the guilt from past sins, and restoring it to its original childlike sensitivity to sin.
This is the " washing of regeneration"( Titus 3:5) and being " born of water ( John ch.3) Regeneration means to restore something to its original state.
Then we recieve the Holy Spirit as the result of the Holy Spirit baptism which must be fervently prayed for after water baptism until God answers your prayer and fills you with the Holy Spirit. Then you must surrender the last vestige of your will, your tongue , "that no man can tame" ( James 3:8), until the Holy Spirit takes control of it, " tames" it, and enables you to speak in the spiritual language that our English translation calls "tongues".
Once this occurs it triggers the fillings' overflow, which is what Spirit baptism is, while at the same moment the Holy Spirit joins with your spirit forever to remain a part of you. This is being " born of the Spirit" ( John ch.3), " the renewing of the spirit" ( Titus 3:5), and how the Holy Spirit is recieved by the believer.

The Lord Jesus Christ is not showing this man Nicodemus the way of salvation In this passage as all of us have been undoubtedly taught...He is teaching what He taught since John 1:12-13...That only those who HAVE ALREADY, PAST COMPLETED TENSE, been born of God, all of them, #1-receive Him, believe on His name (John 1)...#2- Only those who have PAST COMPETED TENSE, been born of God, HAVE THE ABILITY to see the Kingdom of God, and enter the Kingdom of God. Furthermore, John 3:16 should be the LEAST FAVORITE verse in the Bible!!! Why? Because the King James version failed to communicate the tenses clearly and the translators used "whosoever" which is a word that did not exist before 1100ad....the original Greekbof John 3:16 actually reads "Thusly did God love the world, that all the believing ones (present active tense) should not perish, but have everlasting life.
The Arminian''s FAVORITE verse is John 3:16 because it appears that this is an offer of salvation to everyone (there is no predestination, God alone does not select who will receive His grace and mercy.)
Correctly read, YES THIS IS PRECIOUS AND HOLY...but only those born of God and who see the translation issues in this text can love this verse properly.
In conclusion, again, Jesus is DESCRIBING who can see and enter the kingdom of God, NOT PRESCRIBING HOW TO BE BORN OF GOD.

You aught to say "didn't that sermon strike my heart? Didn't that message exactly relate to my condition? Wasn't it a rebuke that I deserved, a word of reproof or of exhortation? Let me take it to heart that which I have heard and let me not judge the preacher, for he is God's messenger to my soul. I came to church to be judged by God's Word and not to judge God's Word myself" "

interesting how you lump Calvinists in this group of heretics. Even more interesting is how you lump those who call themselves Christian as by default in the group of regenerates.

You are not to celebrate his birth says the Bible. You are to only traditionalize His risen and the Sabbath. These are the only two things to keep tradition. Jesus was never born in December. This is a pegan tradition. The Bible says to never conform to anything. God does not need our help.

Very disappointed, in that the wisdom of this world is foolishness with God and the foolishness of God is wiser than men. God chose 12 men that he taught, disciplined, instructed, directed and 1 was a devil. He gave Peter the keys to preach 1st to jews and then gentiles in Acts chapter 2 and Acts chapter 10. They were all filled with the Holy Ghost speaking in tongues as the Spirit gives utterance and baptized in water in Jesus name, which is the name of the Father, Son, and Holy Ghost. This is the new birth or born again method spoken by God our Saviour Jesus Christ in St John 3:3-6.

    WE MUST BE BORN AGAIN
You are born again when you are like Jesus. Then you are sinless
    1 John 2:
3 And hereby we do know that we know him, if we keep his commandments.
4 He that saith, I know him, and keepeth not his commandments, is a liar, and the truth is not in him.
5 But whoso keepeth his word, in him verily is the love of God perfected: hereby know we that we are in him.
6 He that saith he abideth in him ought himself also so to walk, even as he walked.
    We must be born again!
Then Jesus has baptized you with the Holy Spirit.
The Holy Spirit do not let you sin anymore!!!
To become born again you have to repent and ask Jesus forgiveness for your sins or ask Jesus in your heart!
A really born again Christian has no future sins!! He is perfect, righteous and the light of the world.
    Please study : 1 John 3, Romans 6:6, Romans 8, Gal 5, Eph 4 , Eph 5 and Titus 2:14

1 John 1: 8 If we say that we have no sin, we deceive ourselves, and the truth is not in us.
No one is made perfect until we are with God in the next life. You will sin a lot less (like, a whole lot less), but if God were to make us perfect now we would be stuck up with pride, patting ourselves on our backs, but the reason he does not pull the thorn from our side is because he wants us to understand that his grace really is sufficient for you and I who are so wretched in our sin. No, he wants us to see how gracious he is by NOT giving us the finished product now, but a foretaste, so that we can have assurance of salvation And yet still be able to see our wretchedness and that we are still so very dependent on his Mercy.
