    How in THE actual hell am I just now finding this?? Putting old dance to new tunes, goes to show that no matter who you are, now matter what era of dance you observe, American dance has always been cool. Despite the warped minds of some people, this is a great country and American culture was once wonderful and unique in all the world. I wonder if they're actually proud of themselves for trying to destroy that.

    I absolutely love this song because it brings back the 70s and 80s, my clubbing era when we were dancing to Earth Wind and Fire, The Commodores, The Fatback Band, and all those great funk bands of that era. These videos are proof that this particular rythym is universal through the ages. This song makes me want to dance, which unfortunately I can't do right now, but it's good to listen to anyway.

      I don't know for sure, but it looks like it might be KingofKungfu2002. "They" did Footloose in 2019 that is so similiar with some similar clips in it. It's magic though imo. Takes a LOT of talent to find all those old movie dancing clips, then picking what scenes will work with and sync with the music. THEN edit it all together.

      Marx brothers ? They were a comedy team -- not dancers. Not in this collection. There are 2 brothers dancing here who were fantastic people and great tap dancers, … but I will let you research that. Part of Dancing 201 class final exam.

      @ceci8556 2 года назад

      @@v.gorski3050 There were musical numbers in the Marx Bros. movies, and they did dance, I can imitate them quite well. The were pretty funny, it was all for laughs of course, but they had real dance troupes at times. Like the Lindy Hoppers, I think they were called. I've seen their clips show up in compilations like this.
      The Nicholas Bros.are unknown by too many today but I saw their performance with Calloway making the rounds here recently. Nice to see.

    Eugene Curran Kelly was an American-Irish dancer, ("Singing in the Rain" dude) known for his energetic and athletic dancing style. He offered the "street" dancing of his day compared to Fred Astair's tuxedo dancing. At least 8 of his cuts in this piece.
    At 0:21 he has steps that weren't seen again for 50 years!!!

      Gene Kelly was amazing and I'm glad several clips were of his talented moves in iconic movies. Of course, all the dancers were beautiful.

    I have yet to see one of these that featured Sammy Davis Jr. In it anywhere. Not to say that this wasn’t brilliantly put together. Great editing. Bittersweet to see the late great Gregory Hines.

    OMG this was AMAZING! Whoever was responsible for finding these clips and editing them ...seamlessly...to the tempo of this song has rhythm! I sat in my car, parked in a Wal-Mart parking lot...and watched this...tapping my feet and grinning like the Cheshire cat! I LOVED THIS!

    This is fabulous. Who ever put this together are great 👍. All the time they took to look thru all those old and new movies of great dancing scenes had to take a long time and effort and what a pay off. This shows how old and new movies can look together. Bruno Mars should see this and be pleased his song ( which is a song I love 💗 and is great 👍) just flowed so well with these old dance scenes.
