How in THE actual hell am I just now finding this?? Putting old dance to new tunes, goes to show that no matter who you are, now matter what era of dance you observe, American dance has always been cool. Despite the warped minds of some people, this is a great country and American culture was once wonderful and unique in all the world. I wonder if they're actually proud of themselves for trying to destroy that.
I think they are both great because I appreciate both the art of dance and editing but I think the time frame difference between the clips and the music in the other one is cooler just because it goes together so well tho there is no way they could be dancing to it
I ECHO YOUR WORDS, LINDA. IF YOU SEE THESE WORDS, THANK YOU, FOR SHARING YOUR PERFECT WORDS~PAST TALENT IS RARE AND VERY PRECIOUS. IT IS TIMELESS! BLESSINGS~BEV
I absolutely love this song because it brings back the 70s and 80s, my clubbing era when we were dancing to Earth Wind and Fire, The Commodores, The Fatback Band, and all those great funk bands of that era. These videos are proof that this particular rythym is universal through the ages. This song makes me want to dance, which unfortunately I can't do right now, but it's good to listen to anyway.
I AM WITH YOU IN YOUR THOUGHTS OF MEMORIES OF YEARS GONE BY! I WAS IN COLLEGE DURING THOSE TIMES AND NEVER REALIZED THOSE WOULD BE THE TIMES OF MY LIFE! I LOVED THIS VIDEO TOO! THANKS FOR SHARING.
Pauline...you ain't old cause you got the "beat"! Even the heart 💓 has a beat...it's our "rhythm of life" Take care...you're keeping the beat and the faith
What a fricking awesome video compilation of every dancer I could have ever thought of including Fred Astaire and Gene Kelly! Nicely done and the song choice was perfect!❤
Whoever did this is a genius. I love this song. And to see so many clips from so many movies I've seen or heard about to this song and not once be off timing it takes your breath away. I can watch this all the time. It makes me feel so happy.
I don't know for sure, but it looks like it might be KingofKungfu2002. "They" did Footloose in 2019 that is so similiar with some similar clips in it. It's magic though imo. Takes a LOT of talent to find all those old movie dancing clips, then picking what scenes will work with and sync with the music. THEN edit it all together.
This is friggin 'AWESOME' chair dancing while working from home during the COVID Issue! Sending out hugs to whoever may need one! TAKE CARE OF EACH OTHER! :-) Cheers from V.A.
All these videos set to the movie clips are so very interesting to watch. It's like pointing out the movies and saying to myself "I haven't seen this movie in a long time".
Seeing Barbra Streisand as Dolly Levi in this edit-compilation made my night! But I would also love to see Christopher Walken in these types of clips. He is in a class by himself. 😁
Okay - II was sitting here watching this and my feet were going cray cray underneath me - and so were my arms. I got a work-out without ever standing up, LOL! Wonderful putting together all those great dance clips from movies over the years (many of which I saw, either on TV back in the pre-pay for movies days) and stars, many now passed away, that we still remember generations later because they were - so wonderful. Thank you for this great production.
SENSATIOINAL EDITING AWESOME CONCEPT. I first watched this 4 years ago! From the beginning of talkies, til today. Like a fine wine, it aged well....thanks again & again
This is one of the best pieces of video assembly I have ever seen. The sync and rhythm is mind boggling. This took a ton of work, is very fun and gratifying and deserves respect and Kudos! BRAVO great work much appreciated.
I ADORE the old movies in this that most millennials haven't seen. I'm talking about Seven Brides for Seven Brothers, West Side Story and Singing in the Rain (among others). Those were such talented people that made the way for many dances and performers that we have now. Great job with this!
@@Virgo_Victoria0830 You're lucky. Not all schools would show those. Music classes, whether vocal or instrumental, of course. But not the standard required courses. (Did that make sense?)
I grew up with these movies...from my parents to my two paternal aunts...both Dominican Sisters who who'd visit for two week each during the summer...and I got to watch TV during the day time...Fred and Ginger, Gene Kelly...all the greats. .I'm almost 72...growing up in thev50s/60s was a great time of my life!!!
Wow, you didn't limit yourself at all when choosing material. Most will show the usual top 20, maybe throw in an iconic Astaire/Rogers or Marx Bros. at best, but this had some bits I'd forgotten about. And then 7B7B...? One of my all-time favorites. Great work.
Marx brothers ? They were a comedy team -- not dancers. Not in this collection. There are 2 brothers dancing here who were fantastic people and great tap dancers, … but I will let you research that. Part of Dancing 201 class final exam.
@@v.gorski3050 There were musical numbers in the Marx Bros. movies, and they did dance, I can imitate them quite well. The were pretty funny, it was all for laughs of course, but they had real dance troupes at times. Like the Lindy Hoppers, I think they were called. I've seen their clips show up in compilations like this. The Nicholas Bros.are unknown by too many today but I saw their performance with Calloway making the rounds here recently. Nice to see. P.S. Don't be a snob, it's all just fun...Schoolmarm
Looking back at my love of music and dancing all around my house for 60 years, no wonder I never got fat. However, it is a marvel watching real dancers and the mystery of their avoidance of grave bodily injuries. ;)

Well this presentation was all kinds of ...EVERYTHING! .... A Fantastic Fabulous and Fully Loaded splicing of such wonderful dance routines you could ever imagine, put together in a brilliant edit by a fine choreographer in the wings! Beautifully matched too with a modern funky beat song! Marvellous!
Damn right Jennifer Beals in Flashdance was in there! La la land but was cute. Burlesque, lots of Grease, Singin in the rain, Charlie’s angels for a second, ending with la la land. Well done! 👏🏾
