- I was inspired by the Mimic from Darksouls. In this video, i'll be recreating the Mimic using my own Lego parts. This video serves only to share the techniques used. There will not be any parts list or instructions

The long tongue he gave it reminds me of the king mimics from Dark Cloud 2 (aka Dark Chronicle for those living outside of North America)

I love that the arms come out of the mouth, really sells the idea that this was disguised as a chest and suddenly sprang out when it was opened
That's because its a darksouls mimic that's how they are in game

having just commented on another video of how you inspired me in my youth only to stumble upon a video of something from one of my favorite franchises ever, keep bricking.
hey, i have a challenging build for you, to build a pilot from the game titanfall.
the titans(in my op)are easier bc they are robots with a unique shape, but pilots are human, so its harder to create their physique with lego

Damn this gave me flashbacks of a mimic terrorizing me even though knowing the chest was a mimic. It's giggles are pretty disturbing.
This is reminding me of a video on the internet about 4 warriors set off to find a cave full of mysterious things. But one of then incounter a chest with arms and a really long tongue... now that I'm thinking of it, it was probable not for kids...

I love that it is a reference to Dark Souls because it even has the mimic chain to differentiate between a normal chest and a mimic ❤🎉

That is so cool Chubbybots! 😎 I like using parts that have limited stud/anti stud options. I built a mosasaurus moc all inverted upside down with anti studs on top.!

Dark Souls mimic is one of the creepiest designs of any mob that I've ever encountered, so it's just crazy to this it translated into Lego so well. Can't even imagine how complicated of a design process this was. Kudos to you!
