Wow thank you for taking the time to put together this routine! That’s very thoughtful to consider the onboarding process for new retinol users There’s been a few changes since this video though: The Ordinary has discontinued 8% Ascorbic Acid + 2% Alpha Arbutin. They still sell the 2% Alpha Arbutin + HA in the aqueous solution though. I don’t know if the 15% ethylated ascorbic acid is new or old but it’s out of stock online. They have released two new cleansers and two new moisturizers when they only had one in each category before. Now there’s an additional one targeting oily and dry skin. Additionally they will be releasing a fourth lotion for body (soft release last month). Just last month they have released a new 5% niacinamide product in a lightweight lotion marketed for face and body. They have also made the glycolic acid cheaper in a new two pack (full and travel size for only $15)! Hooray! The rumor is the azelaic acid product is a bit upgraded with better texture (unannounced) since the start of this year (2024). And there’s a new 0.2% retinal product. Do you have any new suggestions given these changes?
I bought most of these products with the Sephora sale that’s going on rn, I’m excited to try my new routine! Thank you for the info, excited for even skin 🥰

The ordinary discontinued the ascorbic acid 8% + Alpha Arbutin 2%. They do carry the Alpha Arbutin 2% alone on its own (which I purchased). what product do you recommend in place of 8% ascorbic acid? I’m trying to follow this regime for my hyperpigmentation skin problem and purchased all the other products except the discontinued ascorbic acid 8% combo
Love The Ordinary. Agree about the sunscreen though. My skin is sooo much better than it used to be but I’m still fighting that orange peel texture. Do you have a routine outlined for that? I assume it would be similar. I’m using most of these product andTazarotene as well.
Hi! This is amazing, the only thing is that i cant use niacinamide it really irritates and breaks me out. Should i replace it with another product or just leave it out? Thankyou!
I was recently in a store looking for some Ordinary Products and I was told that the "Ordinary Products" were meant for younger skin and not my 60+ skin. Is this true? is Hyperpigmentation the same in young skin and old skin? Do the same rules apply?
Wait, really? My almost-50yo (and inconsistently sensitive) skin tolerates Ordinary products really well. I like various cleansers, the hair serum, the gentler acids, and the moisturizer. She's right about the spf; I prefer La Roche-Posay. Maybe the person you spoke to thought you wanted something more complex? Some Ordinary products can be too basic for combination issues.
I don’t find this has any pilling at all and I wear makeup. It’s all about using small amounts of the products. Also the spf is important to get the right one for your skin. as I mentioned in the video the ordinary spf is not one I wear
Kenna you are the GOAT of skin care RUclipsrs in my opinion. Thank you for making it so easy to understand and put into practice 🎉❤
You upload just as I’m watching videos on hyperpigmentation. Brilliant! Thank you!
Amazing! Great timing :)

4 butyl resorcinol is very effective
Tranexamic acid is very effective also when combined with alpha arbutin azelaic &niacinamide
Thanks so much for the amazing info!!! How many min should I wait in between products? Specially for the alfa arbutin
I like to wait just 30s between layer sometimes not even. But also good to wait until the moisturizer sets 5 mins (ish) before SPF!

Almost 50 to, been using the ordinary for about a year. And have has great results.
The ordinary definitely is not age discriminatory! They are products with science backing them up / that work!!
thanks, I'm going to try this. I have hp from I believe was from liver issue. Sad that ordinary and inkylist glycolic acid is sold out online.
actually sephora is sold out but found it on ulta.
