And as an army..it's uncomfortable when interviewers ask about BTS cause artist comes to shows to promote their music not BTS's..yup they're the biggest boyband in the world rn..but that doesn't mean that w show can't be continued without asking about BTS.. respect is seen nowhere.. everyone had their struggles to come up here, and when they reach upto that level..why asking about BTS's success..we all know the idols respect other artists.. simple conclusion to this : "BTS being used for clout" and idk when that will end !! They shine in their own way..pls love them as they're..no one is trying to be the "next BTS" cause as Suga said : " there's no next BTS "
Just to add on to the list, remember when the Ryan and Kelly show totally disrespected Stray Kids? Not only did they misspell their name as "Stray Children" and they invited fans on stage. Without their approval. Disregarding the fact the Han has severe anxiety and was noticeably very uncomfortable. Also when Felix was being greeted my Kelly he went for a handshake but Kelly gave him a kiss on the cheek instead. This entire interview had a little to no personally space for Stray Kids.
5:20 Johnny also answered that he was from Chicago but they had already turned of his mic when he said it which is just rude in itself. Like don’t turn of the mic of the one the interviewer is asking a question to or complementing, that just shows how uninterested they are of what he has to say.

I love how Mark wasn't having any of Ellen's bullshit, "Wait, why are you always curious about this, though?" It was so satisfying and still is, even the audience was shocked. If watch the interview, you can hear the audience go, "ooooo...." 🤣
Ngl, As an ARMY myself I feel that it's so disrespectful to bring up some other group while you're interviewing a group in the same industry and setting up groups to be against each other by turning around the words of the artist. A group or an artist shouldn't be in an interview until and unless the artist brings it up thyself. As a fan of the group itself I'm not feeling proud that my favs were brought up but instead very angry at the disrespect the artist being interviewed is getting, Interviewers should really know their place before speaking shit like this.
This Is Why I Love Mark…. He Just Says What He’s Thinking 😌 When I Watched That Ellen Interview I Was So Proud That He Finally Said What Most Idols Probably Be Thinking When This Question Is Asked
Mark’s response to Snake-ellen is so iconic. I’m a ONCE but I got say I have very much respect for Mark. Also she didn’t mention what happened with TWICE and good morning America. They were so ignorant in their interviewing
When Ellen asked BTS if they had ever been with a fan, I think western interviewers/media are so used to asking western celebrities personal questions that they didn’t realize people don’t do that in Korea (bc this isn’t the 1st time an interviewer has asked a celeb this exact question). It’s just in inappropriate and disrespectful. Nobody wants to know that.
Yeah, I have the same thought process. I can't blame interviewers who aren't actively participating in the Kpop scene as fans to know what's polite or not, but I think this comes under the larger ignorance many carry, and how they seem to think everyone else should cater and change themselves for these interviewers. I always think back to the 60s-80s, and how it was common for rock bands to just pick up fans and "party" with them for a night. That just couldn't and shouldn't happen these days, and I don't see what this question is always said during interviews, as if the times haven't changed at all.
This is why we love sakhshma srivastav, she asked them really genuine and intellectual question.she doesn't make her guests feel embarrassed and doesn't ask them stupid stuff and also praised them for all the taelnt they have 💜
You guys can watch Indian Interview of Sakshma Srivastava with K-pop idols that girl nailed it when it comes to making idols comfortable and smile and being themselves We are so proud of her .
It seems it’s not only in America. When Red Velvet went to Switzerland, they were interviewed and once again, BTS was brought into the conversation. The interviewer went on to mostly speak about BTS. It’s like they grasp onto the one thing they know, having not researched the interviewed group so they don’t sound so stupid. Only to have the opposite effect.
When the interviewer told Mark his English was good right after he said he's from Canada, I felt upset too. Most Asians in western countries have heard some variation on the "your English is really good" comment from white people when it's obvious they're native speakers. It's rude and racist, you wouldn't say that to a white Canadian who told you they had been living in Korea for a few years would you? Then why would you say it to Mark?
You know what's rude and racist? Calling us 'white people' as if we're all one country, culture and speak one language so better sot down b1tch before you decide to school someone. Westerners deal with the same shit outside of the West too with dum3ass asians complementing their language skills when they were born there but that's ok innit cause we're 'white' and you can sh1t on us. Well no. Better prepare for when 'white' people are done with your shit.
The Super M interview with Ellen always makes me sad because I remember in behind content Kai was super excited to be on Ellen because he loves her, and seemed very disappointed after the interview. She shattered his dream. Heartbreaking.
I notice a pattern of Tiffany always standing up and empowering others and she has this big sister energy that just makes you feel safe. It’s just so refreshing and heartwarming to see.
And also recently in james corden's late night show nct 127 appeared there and james instantly started to talk about double million sell of their album asked them how they feel but Mark said wait let us introduce us first...
I feel so bad for these idols having to hide their frustration and anger on interviews. I know for a fact that if I was in their shoes I would have called them out for it but its a pity idols can't and have to suffer and act like its all okay.
ellen asks that question to every celebrity there, they should be glad they're not hollywood stars cuz of what happened to taylor swift and many others. tbh their agencies should've expected it coming b4 sending their groups to the ellen show.
its like they didn't prep the group members for what's about to come, "they don't think you speak english, and being that you're 20+ they are assuming you are hooking up/dating".
That Park Bom question was extremely tone-deaf, inconsiderate, unprofessional and disrespectful. Especially since this was her big comeback after suffering from a scandal herself.
idek why but every american interviewer would always compare one kpop grp to another like nct 127 being compared with bts can the interviwers just get educated please? its rlly rude to bring up one kpop grp to another and COMPARING THEM
The infamous Access interview... they totally ruined MX's excitement and overshadowed their big moment with the achievements of others, which I find an incredibly weird thing to do in general. I often see people say their reaction was rude or whatever, but I think they were shocked and it looked like it really knocked the wind out of their sails. I think they were pretty gracious, considering. I mean.. it was for the album package/art anyway, so I don't even get the point of why they mentioned it. As for Ellen, it actually makes me glad that she didn't interview Monsta X when they were on her show (guess they weren't big enough for her) even in saying that, when she introduced them to perform she was blunt and scowling, like it was some great inconvenience for her. Glad she's gone.
I literally hate when interviewers out of nowhere ask about another group it's just awkward and due to this people started to compare the two groups and fanwars started .GOt7 and BTS,monsta x and BTS are different they all are the most amazing groups but due to some idiotic questions all the fans started hating each other ....

Ellen is really bad, but remember she asked about a celebrities personal life regardless if that person is a Korean idol or not. Obviously, Ellen's staff never gave her the memo about how bad dating can be if found out to a korean celebrity.
I feel like every western interviewer likes to cause fanwars and controverses. BTS and BLACKPINK is not the only group that exist in K-pop. No hate to BTS and BLACKPINK,They don't deserve to get hate because of interviewers mention them. But other K-pop groups don't deserve to be in a awkward situation like this. People need to understand.
As a multistan, BTS being my mains, it’s so frustrating to see them talk about BTS at other group’s interviews. Like bro the interview is about then not BTS. They are their own group and should be treated as such. If you want to talk about BTS then do it with them at one of their interviews or when that subject comes up in a different setting, not at an interview with someone who is from a completely different company. Seriously, some people just have no respect. 😒
The reason why i dont watch the amercians interviews, i have not see one person that has done research on the people they gonna interview, If they look a little in to kpop they would not speak about dating etc
Here's a few things about American live-interviews - They're actually getting better overall, which is kinda sad because they're still not that good. - Of the few interviews I've seen, journalists from MTV and Genius seem to do their research beforehand which is JUST INDUSTRY STANDARD BUT THANK YOU. - Ellen (and a couple other comedian, pop culture, late night hosts) will tease and embarrass their guests regardless of who it is. That's their bread and butter. Have you seen Ellen dress up as Sofia Vergara and try to mimic her accent? She'll ALWAYS ask uncomfortable questions. Like she'll even ask children which parent they like more. - Depending on where the interview is (and when the interview took place), shows will have different preconceptions about the group's English abilities and have different accommodations for translators.
American interviewers need to understand that BTS isn't the only kpop group out there. There are other very talented artists and they should be grateful they get to interview them, and this is coming from an ARMY. These dumb issues often times end up in fan wars and me uncomfortable and should make you too
@moon light Dude, the commenter isnt even leaving hate comments on BTS? They only said that those interviewers shouldn’t bring BTS in every conversation since we never know if the idol can feel down. It's called "respect" in general. Each group worked hard enough to go worldwide not only BTS and the interviewer should take note about this. You can always praise yout favs without bringing others down

Ok calling someone a liar like that is kinda rude, and that person not wrong she didnt really show gratitude and did kinda brush it off
Exactly, at this point she doesn't deserve the support she was getting for that show, I'm not try to be rude but she is very disrespectful
I understand BTS is phenomenal. It's the biggest group. But Comparing kpop groups to BTS makes me uncomfortable even as a BTS Stan.
There is no point in putting grps in an uncomfortable position just in search of some scandal

@@hopesun1652 True there are many groups who are successful but not as BIG as them. Maybe we exaggerate sometimes but you can't deny the fact that BTS PAVED THE WAY to kpop being global and more recognised

Mark speak up for the whole industry honestly..Ellen is always curious about other artist's personal life..glad that mark spoke up!!
EXACTLY
Hosts shouldn't ask these type of questions to Kpop Idols. That's disrespectful and rude.
My thoughts exactly! Thank you!
I remember this and Felix backed up twice to try to get away
Stray children 😂😂😂 rass
Like seriously at this point these interviewers don't even seem to try at all when interviewing kpop artists
MARK REALLY SAID TO ELLEN "Why are you always Curious about this" Mah man really wanna throw hands😭
I really Hate When the interviewers asks idols about their personal life and bringing other groups inbetween😠😠😃
5:20 Johnny also answered that he was from Chicago but they had already turned of his mic when he said it which is just rude in itself. Like don’t turn of the mic of the one the interviewer is asking a question to or complementing, that just shows how uninterested they are of what he has to say.
I agree and if they had a brain, they should be able to tell that Mark and Johnny are foreigners as they are fluent and native in English.
@@TrinhNguyen-sh4fj honestly, some ppl who can speak fluent English are not necessarily foreigners. The thing I hate here is that it just takes 3 mins to google where Johnny and Mark are from
@@neomuhappy3604 True but you can tell from the accent. Mark and Johnny definitely sound like native speakers which they are. It is not just fluency but the accent too. However, I agree that it is so easy to google where they are from but these people are so lazy.
Not all foreigners have accents. It is possible to achieve a native accent.
These interviewers complimenting Mark's and Johnny's english made themselves look dumb actually. Like bestie didn't you hear the boys when they said where they were from???? Obviously they didn't do their homework 😭😭😭
Exactly or they just did not pay attention when they told them where they came from.
i hate how these Western interviewers need to bring BTS into every conversation, even if BTS isnt there. like ok we get it, but stop usinf BTS for clout please? focus on the group youre interviewing rn. and oh that one with Tiffany being told her English is good by the interviewer in simple English, goooosh
Ahh yess GOT7 my men handled things very well and respectful
"Why the dating questions are always a part of interview, They are there to promote their music"
Exactly!!
Someone: *how to make people feel uncomfortable?*
Ellen: *I have been summoned*
You expect western shows to change their culture. Lol. Don't come to our countries
some people absolutely want to know that, that's why it keep getting asked.
This is why we love sakhshma srivastav, she asked them really genuine and intellectual question.she doesn't make her guests feel embarrassed and doesn't ask them stupid stuff and also praised them for all the taelnt they have 💜
You guys can watch Indian Interview of Sakshma Srivastava with K-pop idols that girl nailed it when it comes to making idols comfortable and smile and being themselves
We are so proud of her .
Yes she interviewed nct and I was amazed!
I loved how Johnny whispered “Well I’m from Chicago” when the interviewer said that.
The most rudest was when American interviewers kept mentioning BTS to other groups
Actually i consider the misoginy against the girl idols to be the worst. It's literally discrimination.
So true!
Ellen is the worst tbh💀💀
1:57 “first kpop group ever to perform at madison square garden”
SNSD on oct 2011 be like: 👁👄👁 am i a joke to you?
idek why
but every american interviewer would always compare one kpop grp to another
like nct 127 being compared with bts
can the interviwers just get educated please?
its rlly rude to bring up one kpop grp to another and COMPARING THEM
The infamous Access interview... they totally ruined MX's excitement and overshadowed their big moment with the achievements of others, which I find an incredibly weird thing to do in general.
The worst interviews are the interviews of Ellen and BTS and NCT guys. The interview with MonstaX was the worst of the worst!
I literally hate when interviewers out of nowhere ask about another group it's just awkward and due to this people started to compare the two groups and fanwars started .GOt7 and BTS,monsta x and BTS are different they all are the most amazing groups but due to some idiotic questions all the fans started hating each other ....

When I first heard of Super Junior in 2009, Kyuhyun *instantly* became my bias. Since I only liked listening to music and watching MVs, I rarely saw interviews or talkshows with idols, until I came back to kpop hardcore in 2017. SNSD is my ult group, so when I watched that video of him pushing Jessica to talk about her private life, I got SO SAD. Bro, 8 years of respect down the drain. For him and later Shindong and Kangin. Yeah, I think it's funny to see him roasting the other members and the group before he arrived, but I never looked at him the same. I just hope Donghae and Siwon aren't dicks as well, or I'll probably have to unstan.
Shouldn’t we blame the person that actually came up with the questions for him to ask? That’s why he quit radio star cuz he wanted to make a good impression for them but realized the questions he had to asked aren’t great

Snsd may have this image of girly girls during their career. But I do believe that they are some of the strongest women out there. Especially Tiffany. She's always so protective of her members. I miss them so much.
Lol I just hate those interviews where girls are asked rubbish, like bro who gave you the permission to talk like that😒
Ellen is really bad, but remember she asked about a celebrities personal life regardless if that person is a Korean idol or not. Obviously, Ellen's staff never gave her the memo about how bad dating can be if found out to a korean celebrity.
Mark and RM turning savages are my fav moments 😀

American Interviewers give me second hand embarrassment, that sentence says it all.
I always think of when an interviewer asked soyeon from (g)i-dle if she was "on the same level as ITZY" and she was like ".....what?"
A bunch of SuJu members are so problematic, Siwon, Kyuhyun, Shindong, etc. They're literally so annoying 💀
Is it necessary to bring BTS everywhere seriously ? They should just stop.

Here's a few things about American live-interviews
- They're actually getting better overall, which is kinda sad because they're still not that good.
I wish this was just for K-pop idols, all artists and actors have to deal with this. Interviewers looks for questions to make artists uncomfortable so they can get a story. 😑
I'm really curious why it's always kyuhyun who asks dating rumours to female idols to make fun of them. As an idol he knows what happens to celebrities when there is a dating rumour but he still keep forcing female idols to talk. I know it's all scripted but can't he say no?
