Man I’ve been through the same stuff I got in a atv crash and I broke my wrist clean in half and hand a compound fracture in the middle of my arm I had 8 surgery’s in two weeks and had a skin graft it used to scare the crap out of me to clean it and I used to hate for people to see it but that was so stupid of me scares tell your story and now I’m proud as hell to have it I hope you have a great recovery

Then stfu because medicine and science proved that the brain of a transgender person is wayyy more similar to the brain of the gender they want to transition to than to the brain of their birth sex. It's like someone swapped your brain with someone from the opposite gender. They also proved that the only cure for gender disphoria is to transition, which is what this doctor is doing. So do some research before you say some stupid shit.

I don’t typically comment on RUclips videos but I’m super duper happy you found comfort with your identity and were able to transition into it. ❤️ I’m not trans myself but having many trans friends and seeing them finally feel comfortable and confident in themselves by changing up the way they dress/cutting their hair differently/getting on T makes me happy and I hope one day they’re able to make the changes they want to feel more comfortable in their own skin.

Sometimes it's better to just get it over with because some patients will tap out or even pass out from pain. From what I hear as well it's less painful just ripping it rather than peeling

I know your pain man I've had the same bandages in my arm along with the vacuum stimulator on both arms stay strong it's a long healing process.
Cody, I only recently found your channel, but all I can say is that you are an amazing man and I wish you the best going forwards. Id really love to see phalloplasty surgery be revamped somehow. Currently it leaves such a large scar from the skin graft and the penis itself from what I've seen doesn't look as natural as many vaginoplasty counterparts. Hopefully in some years with new technology and procedures phalloplasties will be more realistic and leave less scarring
They have advanced a lot but yes it would be nice if things kept advancing

what is phalloplasty
Newspaper 101 most commonly a phalloplasty is a surgery to construct a penis, like in the case of this video. A skin graft is taken from the arm or torso to creat the shaft and head of the penis and the urethra is redirected into the new penis so that it's basically a fully functioning and regular penis. It's pretty rad

II'm really hesitant to get bottom surgery because your arm post op (which looks great btw) is as thin as my arm is currently, so I am really worried about how tiny and thin my already tiny arms will be.

I've thought about that, and I definitely may go that way, although it seems that using that site produces a much thicker penis than I'd generally like, but I will probably end up doing ALT. it doesnt necessarily need to come from the arm, it can come from the leg as well , and possible other places but i dont know much about it tbh.

im a young trans male and never wanted to have this surgery(for obvious reasons) but after digging into it, i realized i do want to consider this surgery. i just hope i can raise the money once i become an adult and get physically and definitely mentally ready for a life changing surgery... and get over my fears haha! but i admire you, even if this video is old! it really inspires me to do whats needed to make myself happier!
Please think long and hard about it. Its permanent.
There are hundreds of videos of young people saying they wish they never did it.
And that it never works. Not even close to natural and deeply regret it.
What they dont tell you is the hundreds of people who commit suicide or attempt it because the mistake they made. The doctors earn the average persons 3 year sallery for each surgery. Remember you can't reverse it and after a couple years you will probably think differently. Thailand does the best in the world and they have a %40% suicide rate afterwards. Please make sure this is what you will still want later in life. You can always do it later but later you can't fix today's decision.

I thinks MTF have it better for because they can grow boobs and their bottom surgeries can look like they were born with it. But they still have the masculine cartilage and features. FTM have it easy just passing because they can grow cartilage and have get their voice changed to match their identity while most MTF still sound masculine.. idk just my thoughts. Not that any process is easy mentally or physically but yknow what I mean
I'd like to see what you seen that looked natural. In my experience they've stood out like a sore thumb. Actually remember this one thread I saw a while back where someone posted theirs and it looked like a god damn semi-healed axe wound 2 years later and they still complained of occasional bleeding and near constant pain.
No No Some MtF people have breast augmentation surgery because the average size of an MtF breast is about A or B cup. Also there is a surgery some MtF people have to reduce the size of the Adam's apple and raise their voice. Most MtF people I know of don't havr that surgery because it's possible to train your voice to sound feminine. Also for younger transitions the hips can actually grow.
Autistic Aniki Sounds like a botched surgery. Most heal well looking almost like a adult video stars except for two faint scars where the legs meet the torso and there were stitches.

But anyways just wanted to give you a HUGE thanks for your recommendation for talking to Dr. Chen for my stricture. He was super thorough, the consultation was available by phone. Their billing department has been super fast about insurance stuff and I'm scheduled for surgery with him October 4th. I cannot thank you enough for the recommendation! Thank you!

Hi Cody - Dr. Kind is a no bullshitter is he? he really was quite rough so sorry about that. Your arm looks great though is it looking better this week? You're gonna heal great keep up the good work you're doing wonderful i know its boring not to be busy and there's only so much TV you can watch if can find something that really passes the time and helps you forget that'll be great.
Hahah seriously! He was not gentle. I really think surgeons forget people feel things when they are awake LOL It is looking and feeling better, I will have to do an update. Well actually it looks a bit weird right now but it feels better haha. I can almost type again but this cast thing gets in the way. This recovery has definitely been the most challenging mentally .

Ouch... The closest experience I have to this is my chest surgery and having to get the cadaver material grafts. It was so weird knowing they were putting that in my body. Hope you healed well!

My question is, why do they do this to the arm Why don't they put a skin extender in it and stretch the skin a lot and have that grow and then cut that out so all you have is a line of stitches, not skin actually missing? this seems so scary

haha! I would have showed my thigh but he never changed the dressing! I Can show it in a video though since it is now bandage free mostly. Luckily this week has been better and more active so I am not as stir crazy!

I thought I read forearm flaps were to be replaced by thigh flaps due to failures.....why did you choose this particular method? Do both areas together do a better job ?
Hmm not sure where you heard that. Forearm flaps are the norm these days. Leg flaps are a bit more unpredictable size wise and tend to have more complications

That looks fucking nightmarish. This is self mutilation, how can any ethical doctor follow through with that that procedure.
The only cure to gender dysphoria is to transition, and for every person their dysphoria differs. Just like depression, gender dysphoria can lead to suicide.
If you wanna talk ethics, I think it's better to extract arm tissue and skin that can heal and grow back vs having someone kill themselves. But that's just my opinion.

The same with hair dysphoria, something I have. I hate the feeling of hair, and no amount of therapy is going to make me like it. So, I cut it off and do as I please.
