Really thrilled for you on this next phase of your ‘settlement’. What a major undertaking. We’ll be along at every step. Please be safe while you’re doing all the really hard work👋👵🇨🇦
I Love watching your videos. I’m almost 60 years old, but after a horrific auto accident years ago, arthritis has set in and there’s so much I can no longer do. I suppose that’s why I enjoy watching your videos. We live in north central Washington state up in the mountains, 5 miles from town and 1/2 an hour from the city on summer roads. It can be twice as much during our very snowy winter months. Our custom built house was finished in September of 19, right before the Plandemic. Since 2020 I’ve been building retaining walls into the side of our mountain so that we can have flat areas for our garden. The one flat area of our 54.5 acre property I planted Apple, Cherry, and “Donut” Peach trees. All of our fruit trees are either Dwarf or 3/4 trees so that they’re compact yet produce as much as a normal sized tree. We grow enough vegetables to sustain us for a year, and have enough left over to freeze dry to save for when I physically cannot garden any longer. We also have enough freeze dried veggies that we Barter with my wife’s family farm / ranch for a 1/2 a beef and a pig every year. Eventually our fruit trees will produce enough to sustain us and of course the extra will be freeze dried. Though I love my wife dearly, she doesn’t have a “Green Thumb”., but she helps me plant our garden and she’s installed our irrigation systems for our garden, orchard, her Rose and flower garden and the other trees, shrubs and plants around our property. Thanks again for showing the world what you’re doing on your land. It’s certainly a Blessing to watch.
I'm excited to see another build. This one looks awesome as well. The wildlife footage is cool, except for that snake. Hope you see him again the next time he's around. That is some stubborn bark on that log. Thanks for the update!
Every time I watch your videos on this property I am just in awe of the serenity. Just watched you singing a log with your side by side and had a memory pop. When I was a teenager I was helping friends develop the property, farm, from bush. I observed an old man using bullocks to pull out huge logs from nearby properties for the sawmill. He may well have been one of the last. To help prevent logs getting caught on other tree roots and rocks he had a metal disc, about 24” diameter with a hole cut about 2” inches from one edge, for the chain to feed through. This plate dragged along the ground under the leading edge of the log like a ramp for the logs to slide over obstructions. Just wondering if that may be worth a tray with your logs and it may help the machine do the job easier. Again, thanks for sharing these videos.
Thanks for the comment. I have a log cone for when I have to retrieve logs further away from the build site. It will be needed for the rough terrain. 👍
Glad to see the foundations seemed to set well. Looking forward to seeing how this one evolves. We're hoping to break ground on ours in 25. God bless sir.
Amazing! You have a Thanksgiving Dinner just meandering thru the woods there. So many things about your video to enjoyed. I find myself often looking to see if you have uploaded a video and I missed it. Like a kid waiting for those chocolate chip cookies. Great wild life video and the capturing of the beautiful fall foliage takes me back. I can still smell that fall richness of the forest.....Thanks for Sharing!!! Cheers!
Nice 👍 job. It's a lot of work building a house or a cabin. Once it's built, you can sit back and enjoy the fruits of your labors. My those turkeys look scrumptious this time of year. You don't want to hurt them. You only want to make them kosher
If you’re interested and want to remove bark a bit faster, there’s this device called a LogWizard. It’s basically a rotating planer blade that connects to the end of your chainsaw made specifically for debarking. Unless you just like the relaxation of hand tools in which case disregard 😅
Great video…look forward to the log cabin build!! One comment of advice….with all the trees you will need to cut down….eye/face protection is a good idea!! Have fun….be safe!
Thanks. I just got it stuck on the side of the big hill and waiting for my winch to arrive to get unstuck. It does come in handy though. No way to move large logs without it.
@@TheOffGridExperience I see, I don't necessarily understand why you choose to do that but eh maybe I'm not suppose to ! Good luck and be safe . Look forward to watching the upcoming build.
This is great news!!!!

Thanks. I hope I never see that giant timber rattler again....haha.

Loved following along with your first cabin build, very much looking forward this time to.
More to come!
The Huge Turkey's were just as happy as could be...Thanks for the video-I always enjoy them...
Thanks 👍 Glad you enjoyed it.

Haha...those turkeys are plentiful around here. Thanks again for the comments 👍

Gators for the possible snake? Good to see there are people not afraid of work... nice job!
Yes. The giant timber rattler I stumbled across a few months back has me thinking it's a good idea to wear them.
Having the 4x4 Gator looks to be handy and fun! Hope you've had no more run ins with rattlesnakes or any snakes!
Thanks. I just got it stuck on the side of the big hill and waiting for my winch to arrive to get unstuck.

Un altro progetto 👍👍👍👏👏👏
Great start
All those turkeys on the property....don't forget, Thanksgiving is coming up soon.... lol....
Haha....many to choose from.
What is the end game here, a small village, cabins for all the family members ?
Maybe? The log cabin is in a completely different area of my property and very difficult to access.
@@TheOffGridExperience I see, I don't necessarily understand why you choose to do that but eh maybe I'm not suppose to ! Good luck and be safe . Look forward to watching the upcoming build.
What a beautiful piece of land!
I hope you find joy and a sense of accomplishment from the process. How far is this new cabin from the other?
Surprised to not see rebar going into the concrete piers. Maybe just not video’d?
It's got vertical and horizontal rebar. Showed more of that last video. 👍
Great to hear that. You effort and work ethic is impressive. Looking forward to more in this series.
I enjoy your videos, but removing the bark from the logs, wore me out, 🙂
It's hard work but relaxing at the same time
Z зачет
the problem it is the music that you put in the vidéo......
Thanks for the comment 👍
