I ran into your video looking for concrete staining. I am very proud of your daughter involved in your work and she doesn't mind getting dirty. In these days, not even young men want to get dirty or learn any REAL work or skills. She's going do great in life!
Thanks so very much for the wonderful compliments! Always does my heart good to see that others appreciate the hard work that goes into what we do😁 God Bless you🙏🏻
Certainly it does scratch when meal objects are moved across the surface, but overall when maintained with the correct sealer, it remains resilient and extends the life significantly. The product is a urethane topical coating. It is not a penetrating stain. Hence why it requires a sealer to maintain it.
It was a big job. I like what you did to repair the surface first. To be sure it look night and day from the original however the color fill appeared uneven and blochy on my screen.
I had concrete poured Dec 2022, it was supposed to be a dark Grey color, and it has a crazy White film on it. The company said it was a problem with the mix possibly, but my research found it may be Salt? They tried to acid wash it with no luck. They suggested this Stain product you are using in the video. Do you think that would fix it?
Your concrete is still relatively new and as such, there is the cycle of hardening/curing that goes on for at least a year, where blemishes and spotting( white patterns ) surface during this process. This's all the natural expectations that concrete undergoes. There is also the possibility of alkali contamination in the soil itself that gives rise for the leaching of the salts to hydrate to the surface of the slab. This alkali can leave tangeable deposits that can physically be removed with your hand. Experience tells us that if alkali salts are in fact occuring, there is nothing that can be applied over the concrete surface that will be permanant. The alkali will continue to hydrate from the earth beneath the slab and, will react with any type of concrete coatings or stains, and turn everything white with the efflorescence filming. And, there certainly is the possibility of the concrete mixture having effects in the curing process giving rise for the discoloration, whether it be from the natural components put into the concrete mixture or, other concrete synthetic additives placed into the mixture. A core-test can be done on the slab to help determine what the number of possible factors are causing this white filming that you're experiencing. You would be wise to try to discover this before putting any more money into products to cover the surface.
My apologies for my belated response 🙏🏻 This was a special order item and custom color from our “Ure-Kote” product line. It was named “Urban Brown”. just curious. let's say I've got a garage floor where I'm trying to accomplish the same goal (color and leveling the floor). Instead of patching can I use a self leveling concrete mix to even the floor our after which can I apply the solid color staining mix in the same fashion you applied ot?
I have big cut outs in my slab in the kitchen, so regular stain is out if I want to go with bare concrete floor. Maybe something like this would cover up those gigantic patches. Can it be sealed with something after and shined up with a floor polisher?
Think if it like painting...the product will only look as good as the surface it’s put on. Any flaws or variations will reflect through the color-coating i.e., chips, cracks, spalling and texture/finish variances, etc.

I was browsing videos for ideas to change the color of the concrete edging pavers around my flower beds and I spot someone mixing concrete like a ninja. Are you Larissa's dad? My two daughters and I are fans and competitive ninjas.
You went through all that effort in making the video. Why didn’t you mention the name of the products you used . That’s 90% of if it right there. Second you call it a stain but yet it doesn’t penetrate. True concrete stains penetrate concrete and are translucent. Is the product your using tinted sealer or paint
Hey Cspaz, thank you for your comment. In our 42 years of experience with these kinds of projects, we have seen incredible results, both in longevity and value.
You seem to enjoy talking shit actually, but no worries, some ppl confuse a platform with therapy for a misguided inner turmoil. Vent if you need it man- dont freak out. meanness is just overkill tho

Beautiful! Does it scratch or wear off easily? Does the stain penetrate into the concrete a bit?

Often times, the variations in the texture of the concrete will reflect in the sun differently through solid colors like this one:)
Can you stain a brushed finished patio? What products do you recommend for filling cracks. Sikaflex, np1?
Yes...Sika Flex Type 1-A non-sag for cracks:)

Hi there 👋
What are your thoughts on using this stain on a concrete tile roof?
I would not recommend it...

That’s right! Keep in mind that there’s a curing period for the self-leveling product that will need to take place before applying the color.
@@KentEddington Thank you!
Hi, can it be applied on newly poured or should I wait a few weeks
Give new concrete 28-days to reach 3200 psi…
Best of Luck😊

Can you use that in freezing areas like indiana or just cali
Yes in deed! This application was done at 6900 feet in Park City, Utah:)
@@KentEddington you say it last decades? Ive got some really good ideas, hey can u skip the 1st process if the patio/driveway is in good condition?

Fill in any cracks/cold joints with an Epoxy product, color-Stain and seal with a High Gloss Urethane Clear Coat😁👍
