Wafula's story reminds me of a friend who asked me for lunch while in South Sudan. I gave him 25SSP equivalent of ksh 1k. It was nothing then to me. 3-4yrs later, the guy owns a branding company that has grown in leaps and bounds and I remember him sharing the story with me that, hio siku walikua hawana mbele wala nyuma na hio dow walikula hadi supper. Hio ilini touch sana...huwezi jua msee ako hali gani, kama uko na uwezo saidia. Tenda wema nenda zako. God ata kuongezea zaidi yenye hautaweza contain. Usingoje mtu akufe ndio uchangie, mpe akiwa hai na utakua umekopesha God.

I was a worship leader and I must say the pressure I got and how no one cared for you genuinely so long as you led worship and lived a "holy" life. Self discovery and acceptance and knowing God at a personal level is the best thing one can ever do for themselves. . Living for yourself and refusing to please people Manze.
