Another day, another rehouse!
What’s goin’ on, guys?! Welcome back to another episode of the rehousing series.
Today we’ve got Ms. Marshalli (Ceratogyrus), my Great/Straight Horned Baboon. One of my calmest baboon tarantulas in the ‘collection’, she rarely bolts or attack aggressively. Today, however, she doesn’t seem to be too happy to move into a new home. She’ll adapt, though ~ No worries.

My OBT is actually quite docile. I would not really call a tarantula friendly ever just how defensive/docile they can be. That being said, would never handle my OBT

Literally that title is the opposite of when I got my T. vagans lol I read online they can be defensive and evil, mine is probably the nicest in my collection and extremely docile 😂
Mine is worse than Lord Have Mercy....Really...An OBT in Vagan's body. Pure evil. Always attempts to bite, no warnings, and she gets angrier with every molt, if that's even possible..My first T =) "Perfect" for a beginner.

@@ReevyMotovlogs And you know how every other T runs away if it's scared/isn't hungry? My Vagans doesn't. She threat-postures immediately. You blow on her (if you need her to move, Idk, from water dish)-and she bites the air. Changing the water dish is most fun with her. New World, my ass.
I just thought .....uhm...those hand gestures extremely close to her for solid 10 minutes before....maybe she WAS friendly to begin with, but that action just within her sight or (even worse) slightly out of her sight won't calm her down, more likely to set her in alarm mode ? I'm no tarantula but I thought that could possibly make her more alert ....a big being she can sense but not see well directly in front and close would make me uneasy for sure.
Get a stand or a strap -on whatever for the camera for the sake of your health EL !

Hey Exotics Lair! The unkown tarantula really looks like the Nigerian Brown (Hysterocrates Laticeps) but im not sure. You could also go on arachnoboards, you'll get a lot of help there

Yeah... Ceratogyrus genus known for their "rather calm demeanor" compared to other baboon tarantula but they were still a baboon tarantula so still have baboon tarantula attitude
Based on my experience with ceratogyrus genus they were rather calm specially on rehousing and maintenance which in most case other tarantula will aim for your life every rehousing and maintenance time
Oh well. That sounds soo "reassuring".
Yeah let's get a couple of pets who try to murder you every time you try to care for them in any way... ^^
I mean I've been suicidal a couple of times, but "thankfully" (I guess) I have some deep rooted arachnophobia....

@@lisamaynard9304 when tarantula molt there skin is left behind because there growing out of there skin so that’s just the dead skin when it molted nothing to worry about he just didn’t clean it up yet.
