Having the frizzle feathering with the Polish head feathers would be interesting to see if you go further with the successes having the blue skin from the silkie. Seems like a very interesting experiment.
There are breeders who has frizzle polish breeds for sale just gotta find those people who have them. I have someone locally who breeds them and have some other types like candycorn frizzle polish
I was watching other videos today on rare chicken breeds and alot of these cost thousands of dollars
I think the video was the top 15 breeds or exotic breeds
There are polish frizzles. I have one and I love her.
@wowblueapocaplypse try hollandsekuifhoen krulveer 🤣
I’m in a powered wheelchair due to a neuro muscular disease I was born with. I’ve always loved this kind of stuff having been partially raised by my great grandparents. My Pawpaw used to farm. I started watching this channel around the middle of covid. Now I have 5 chickens, 1 is a German Bielefelder I hatched in my living room. 2 are French black and copper marans and the other two are maran Americana crosses. I also now have 3 rabbits. American/New Zealands crosses. I love checking my fruit bushes and my flowering trees and shrubs. Watching the chicken I hatched run through the chicken run when he hears my wheelchair is hilarious. I love just sitting and watching my squash plants to see how many bees will come visit. When I was declared wheelchair bound I thought the best part of my life had passed. Now I’m gonna be breeding chickens and rabbits on my homestead before I turn 30, all from a wheelchair. Thank you for the videos. If anything, your family has helped mine tremendously.
I love your mini farm! 😍 I wish I could have chickens here, but we're not zoned for it. 😟I did have a mini garden last year, but gave up as I thought the squirrels were eating my veggies before I could harvest them.😆 This year, I discovered who was getting into my raised bed (I have a bad knee, so gardening in the ground is hard). I happened to look out the back door window & saw our "pet" wild bunny sitting in it, eating my flowers. 🤣 It sits near the back steps & the lil stinker, who's comfortable around us enough to flop (reminds me of puppy asking for belly rubs!), was hopping up the stairs & getting in there that way!😂 I hope the only critters in your garden are your chickens, who come in to keep the bugs away! (Cuz if I had chickens, I'd let them have a go at eating my garden pests. 😉) Anyways, happy farming, my friend! 😊
wow that is so cool!! Never let your disabilities drag you down!!

i just looked at your comment and got a add that basically said the same thing as you

The mama was soo patient sitting on them pulling the eggs one by one delicately she is a heroine well done mama. Those chicken are very good looking all of them.❤❤❤
I was curious upon how they would turn out, they are pretty cute. Also, I loved watching the broody hen push the eggs under her, it was so sweet.
Trying to make up my mind what kind of chickens I want to get. Love the Polish and the frizzle chickens. The more fluffy looking the better.
I love the way the rooster came out! Nice colors and feathering. As for what birds to cross next? I must agree with a large portion of the crowd. Polish and frizzle for sure. Would love to see a Pizzle!
I'm so sorry but this made me giggle as pizzle is a specific word for bull.... nether-regions LOL
Very impressive how patience wins out 😊❣️❣️ so very glad you were those extra few days or you would not have had these beautiful chicks that you hatched😊 you were teaching your children such wonderful lessons of life and nature❣️❣️❣️❣️❣️♥️♥️♥️♥️
Your children are as adorable as the baby chick's.... I absolutely love how you are bringing them up !! I was telling my husband about it the other day and we where both saying how we would love to be able to give our daughter that experience of life !! Lots of love to you all xx
Glad to see them growing so big now, chicken are very fragile and some of them will pass away suddenly, so very happy to see them alive and well.
You should mix the 1 pullet that didn't inherit the frizzle gene to a frizzle+silkie rooster. They both carry 1 copy of the silked feather gene and if the rooster has the frizzle gene, then their chicks will be actual frizzles with silked feathers. You'd also get some normal feathered chicks, some normal frizzles and some silked chicks from that breeding.
Please correct me if I'm wrong on any of this information :)
I absolutely love how the hens take the eggs, so gentle and cute
I love your channel and content this is like a lil safe space it's so soothing and warming ❤️
The hen is like....Baby? Yes! More babies? YES! GIMMEE. Let's get these tucked away carefully.....
Can you guys hatch out some Jersey Giant Chickens? They are the largest chicken breed in the world and are apparently quite docile :) btw I’m so excited for the aviary build. Sending love from Australia 🥰
Watching you guys is healthier than watching the news. Thank you.👍🏻
I absolutely love the idea of telling people you own sizzle chickens.
I LOVE your videos!!! Those Sizzle / Frizzle-Silkie Chickens are sooo cute!!
A giant frizzled chicken? That would be cool. What about a giant chicken that lays blue eggs? So fun watching you guys mix it up. ❤️
I hope the mum got a good prize for looking after them ❤️
We recently hatched two chicks and we have no idea what breed they are!!! They are going really well and you have inspired us so much with our chicks, keep up with the amazing work!!!
My grandparents bred a sizzle and omg it’s so cute I just wanna cuddle it all day 😍😍😍

I really enjoyed your “meet the sizzle “video where you combined the fuzziest chicken breeds. Here are my suggestions for more interesting breed combinations with frizzles: blue laced red Wyandotte, polish, and ayam Cemanis. I can’t wait for the next great video!
I will stay tuned for what ever mixed breeds you try. I like these experiments. It is great for your kids. Your children know life is precious. They know not every egg is going to hatch. They know each animal has a promise from your family to do the best you can to give them a good life. Food for the human is only "one bad day" as least painful for the livestock. These are important lessons. My parents did their best to teach this early in my life. I am glad your children get these lessons too.
Stay healthy and happy.
The Sizzle project was really enjoyable. They all came out looking so unique. Not sure what you should cross then with but i enjoy watching.
The Sizzle chickens seem to have a wide gene pool, different eyes, skin color and even the toes, besides the factor of the feathers.
I can't wait to see what else you come up with next
So cute. They look like they’re having the ultimate bad hair day. 🥰
Growing up in India, I LOVED the Turken Naked Neck chickens. They were my favorite, and every time we had broody hens, I would go all around the village and ask my neighbors for their naked neck eggs so I could hatch them at our house.
I feel like the kids would love this breed as well. You guys should get them on the farm. I would love to see them in the videos haha!
Those are some pretty cool looking chickens!!!!
And yeah I agree. I think a cross with the Polish ones would look pretty cool.
I'd like to see what'd happen with sizzles being combined with silkies again, so they'd be 1/4 frizzles, might be interesting?
Well it looks like the two white sizzles have silkie feathering, while the black and non-silkie white have smooth feathering, so it’d probably depend on which bird is used. Say if they use the white sizzle that conforms best with the SOP, 50% would have frizzled feathers and the other 50% would not, all should have silkie feathers and most of them will look pretty much just like a silkie.
These are all smooth feathered satins actually, frizzle silkie feathers look much different. What would improve with breeding back to silkie is your crest sizes and consistency with dark skin and five toes.
There's an entire network of us working on this ..thousands of people or more and they are beautiful once you can maintain all silkie traits with a frizzle gene
I think the ayam cemani and the Indio gigante would be an interesting mix, also you should check out exotic pheasant farms, they might have something you’ll like
I can not handle th3 cuteness. They are soooo fuzzy. I just want to pet and hug them
That was cool. It would be fun to see what frizzle looks like with something that has a pattern similar to a barred rock chicken. Different colored feathers sticking out all over the place!😆
Salute to you guys u guys take much time to upload videos but your videos never disappoint us ❤️😀
And hats off to your patience level😍
Thanks 😊
@@whitehouseonthehill lots of love from Nepal 🇳🇵❤️
One thing that not many people know is that when crossbreeding chickens it will often take maybe as much as 10 days more to hatch out the eggs as there may be different breaks so it may be harder to hatch out from certain eggs unlike pure breeds which are made for that specific egg
That is absolutely untrue. Where on earth did you get that idea? I'd love to understand why people just make up the weirdest crap about chickens and state it with such confidence.
I don't homestead (nor do I aspire to) but I find your videos so interesting! Thanks for all you do and thanks for sharing it!
I love how he acknowledges how cute chickens are
I just tried to breed cochins with polish frizzle here we call them ‘Padua Krul’ they turned out really nice and are smaller and fluffier you can also see the gender much quicker than when you only breed the polish. Orpington with silkies are also a really cool combo.
I think you guys are the best farm RUclipsrs your work is awesome
Wow, thank you!
Hooooly moly, after 6days I got caught up on your videos, because ever since my girl was born in 3rd week of 2020. Wow what a journey your family was and is on!
Can't wait to see Maisy again and Dolly's new calf.
Love the way these chickens turned out. So fuzzy and cute. I'd love to see one of the silky frizzles mixed with a black and white Plymouth Rock chicken or a Wyandotte. Those would be cool mixes.
Hello White House on a hill I love all of your videos you have inspired me to get chickens and to start my own backyard flock I am 15 years old I also created a small RUclips channel just to inform people about chickens I hope I can be as successful as you some day thank you 😊
I subscribed to you. Your videos are good and funny. Good luck young man!
I have some chickens of my own, but I’ve had a few which have been eating the eggs I’ve been doing everything I can think off, have you ever had this experience and any ideas on how to curb the behavior?
(Also y’all were the ones who inspired me to get chickens so thanks, my girls say hi!)
They eat their own eggs sometimes when their food doesn't provide enough nutrients. I'd recommend giving them grit, scratch and oyster shells every so often. Im not an expert though but that is what we've done
I really do enjoy watching your hatching projects. I also enjoy crossing different breeds to see what I can get. One of my favorites I have done was a black jersey giant hen crossed with a silver brahma rooster. Produced some of the biggest chicks that I have ever gotten. Would recommend it to anyone that is looking for producing their own larger birds.
Just one thing to point out. As frizzle chickens feathers can't retain heat very well, it's best practice to keep them in sheltered areas away from the elements as otherwise they can experience chill.
Rheas and mini horses is what this farm needs!!!
Would it be possible to mix the long-legged ones with your peacock? I feel that would be an interesting mix!
@@Aethuviel True, and interspecies breeding through human intervention _could_ potentially yield a new creature, which yes, the tiniest bit inhumane but like… interesting? Guess that’s just me then. Despite chickens being bred from the red junglefowl and a couple other junglefowl variations (both green and grey) down the line, we still see them as their very own species and aren’t usually considered hybrids. Don’t exactly know where I was going with that, but uhm… yeah. 🦚 + 🐓 = interesting
These new Sizzle’s are super pretty!
Well done! I would say that was a very successful experiment!
Going purely on looks, my next favourite of your chickens is the Polish, I think they are called!
The ones with the 2different coloured feathers. I think you have a gorgeous white and black one, where the feathers are white outlined in black. And you have another coloured one, maybe brown feathers with black outline? With their colouring, I think they are the prettiest chickens you own!!
So if you mix the new sizzle chickens, with the prettiest fluffy feathers, with the Polish, with the prettiest colouring in their feathers, I can only imagine how absolutely stunning their offspring will be!!
That mama hen, just happily accepting as many eggs as you will give her!! Rolling each one underneath her to keep them warm, she is the best mama hen! She is a precious one! She deserves to be extra pampered! Sweet girl!
Frizzle chickens with any chickens that have that "lace" pattern on their feathers would be cool to see!
Their frizzys! So cuteee!!!
All your birds are marvelous and amazing . I love all the breeds you come up with
The black silkie-frizzle rooster is actually really cute!
Totally love all of this. So incredibly special.
Super cute mix of the frizzle and silkie!

Have you seen polish/silkie and polish/frizzle crosses? Crazy floof chickens!
That frizzle silky chicken is just too cute!!!
We hatched a barred rock and shes 4 weeks today and just got introduced to the flock they all like her so far
They are so fun! Thank you so much for sharing this journey- I am now obsessed with lavender Orpingtons and would love to see what they would look like with anything! But any combo is a treat to watch ❤️
wow, this was so amazing!! The dedication of hens to their eggs is so strong and beautiful! We have a broody hen that has eggs hatching right now, she ran away to hatch eggs and we didn't know where she was for a long time. But a badger has been coming and terrorizing the nest and eating eggs, yet every time she returns to the nest. And your mother hen will stay on the nest for days after hatch date - she is just so dead set on hatching those eggs. It's crazy.
Love your videos and those precious babies! Thank y’all!
It's nice to meet you, friend. That was an amazing video. You show the precious beginnings of their life cycle and how that progresses. I loved seeing the new breed combination that you all helped to create. :) (the chickens did the work...lol). It is a pleasure to meet people who love their animals and who know them so well. I wish all of you great success and happiness.
Love how they look. I always loved the more fluffier chicken breeds over any other.
I appreciate the smooth transition from past to present 😊 thank you. Love your videos.

I'd like to see frizzle-guinea hybrids and silky-guinea hybrids. I remember you hatched out some guinea-chicken hybrids and I thought that was interesting.
Thank you again for another video !
Here before an hour✨
And these projects are amazing!
Can’t wait to see an update on the peachicks!
The hatch day doesn't start when the hen starts sitting on the eggs, it starts when the eggs are brought to temperature and it is maintained. This means, eggs can hatch 25+ days later. Spring time, they can be delayed by cooling a bit too much when the hen goes to eat. It's not a 21 day process. I've had chicken eggs hatch at 28 days.
The sizzles are beautiful. Would definitely get some for my flock if they were a common breed.
Me an my family would love to see the polish more often

I love doing these mixed breed experiments, always interesting to see what comes out,
Suggestions to mix:
Frizzle x Polish
Frizzle x Egyptian Fayoumi
Phoenix (long tail) x Silkie
Indo Gigante x Frizzle/Silkie
Indo Gigante x other LF hens
I agree! I'm not sure how the Indo gigante x any bantam, (polish, silkie, frizzle,) would work, because a Indo gigante rooster would most likely hurt a bantam hen, and a bantam rooster probably couldn't do his job on a giant hen.
Male Silkie + the hens having a beautiful flower like structure on head may be polish
