A good idea is to attaching a long piece of hose inside the barrel that goes helical all the way through.. the veggies will go through the barrel at constant speed and will roll inside many more times for a better wash

i believe where this washer is would drain right back into the local aquifer and be directly cycling towards the gardens via the watershed

Goes too slow. Needs (old tyre tube?) rubber lining to minimize damage to vegetables. And needs a lot more spray.
