That hair style looks fantastic on her, although old fashioned, it keeps her hair out of the way and looks very elegant and helps draw the attention to her beautiful smile. It's very Japanese, which I see a lot in most of the older Tongan women of "HIGH STATUS" if you may.
Amazing how Paea dances Tongan tau'olunga so perfect for one thing she wasn't born in Tonga she was born in Hawaii USA/she is one of the best Tongan tau'olunga that i watched many times 👏👏
Its a shame you don't see tauolunga like this anymore. It's so beautiful !!! Thanks Maloni for the upload, i know i commented like a couple of months ago but i had to again. Peace.
I was enjoying this video so much, but then I scrolled down. DAMN. People need to stop. I would be so proud to have Samoan blood in me just as I am proud to be full Tongan. Geeze get a freaking grip and appreciate what you're watching . Enjoy it and stop bringing everyone down with all your hateful words.
i realize this video was posted a couple years ago -- it's my first time seeing it and i'm an instant fan of miss paea. go girl! i actually saw her taualuga first and loved it...i'm still learning how to perform the taualuga and am definitely stealing just a couple of her moves. :) the tongan tauolunga looks harder to do....takes a lot more strength in the legs, it seems...
FLAWLESSS!!! So beautiful!! & i love her costume & hair... omg she's sooo pretty & the best tau'olunga i've ever seen in my lifetime!!! love it!!:) malo aupito for the share:) much alofaz!!
Geez 💙👌 this is what you call a real tau'olunga 😂. The movements are so graceful and precise And the way she carries herself . In a charming yet almost majestic kinda way . One of the few that I can say that caught my attention from the beginning and held it to the end . No offence to generation . Just seems like nowadays when it comes to cultural dancing we're sort of lacking in what the women back then (who wld now be our mamas and nenas ) had so effortlessly . None the less lots of love to all the sisters who do this 💗💗💗
WOW She really represented our Pacific Island people so well, Sooo Graceful and ladylike, Such delicate movements and softness to her disposition....I really enjoyed watching this and think all thios argueing is just silly, So much negativity has been said about this performance but seriously I think she represented Pacific Island Woman Beautifully, The way we should be represented, Graceful, Beautiful and strong :)
I am a Samoan guy and this my second nite to look at this girl's dancing. I admire her. I like her neck...beautiful! I am not a vampire though ...hehe....somehow I am attracted to her neck, poise and beauty..She moves like those girls of high status!
She is tongan with samoan descent just like me I think her grandma is afakasi my grandpa is too :) pretty girl so graceful and elegant this is true polynesian beauty, lookin like a barbie with the oil tho haha purrdy I need to learn how tau'olunga like that ;)
Every Tongan has some connections to Samoans and vice-versa, in their blood. Believe it or not, we are all the same, but in a different ways. Why don't we praise each other's uniqueness instead of verbally critisising each other's cultures.
Well Guys Belive it or not, this is my cuzin, My Dad and her Mum are first cousins, Both born and raised in Vaotu'u Tongatapu,Her mums sister adopted me and i now live in NZ, she lives in Hawaii with both parents. Love u Paea and say hi to tevita for me
Ofa lahi atu paea.i remember all of us growing up in aunty toti n uncle puni (r.i.p.) house back in da day on monsarrat in kapahulu when grandma me was stil alive too.i know puni n granma me r very proud of u paea and always shining down n looking out 4 u.I'll never forget all of you guys.even tho we don't see each other or keep in touch I hope you kno dat it's stil all love over here n true fam pick up right where they left off lol.ofa atu ka Masiano mo Rima!!!n da same to Edgar , tee fali,& e
I'm half Tongan/Samoan and I got to say they are both so difficult! LOL The Tongan tau'olunga, definitely need to have strength in the legs. Where as the Samoan Taualuga you have to make sure you're not "stepping" when dancing, you're meant to "se'e" which is to slide. Most Samoan Taualuga videos on here are not a good example of a true Samoan Taualuga - graceful as :)
I'm Asian and used to live in Utah during my junior and high school years. I had mad crush on the islander girls but they never looked at me once. I would make some beautiful kids with them. Gotta find me an islander baby mama.
Where can i find a nice version of the song. Cause the only ones i could find is the Kalapu ones and they talk and laugh during it. Please if anyone knows where i could find a nice version, it would be very much helpful if you could let me know :) Thanks
@bayy029...believe me when l say this, she had no say when it came to dressing her...lol. you know how it is with all the older folks, make her hair like this, dress like this, do this and that!
@agnot03 i think u got it wrong dis song is called MELEPUSIAKI KOE HEILALA AND it the LA'A KUO UNGA FONUA KUINI SALOTE who wrote it! kihe kainga o TUNGI
Oh really? So we're like cousins. I love my culture and my people, but I think the Islanders have a beautiful culture and tradition. I like their modern music too very catchy and uplifting. If I had to be find a new love, she'd have to be Samoan, Tongan, or Hawaiin. They are really special people.
Is her last name WILLIAMS from her Samoan side? Cause my mom told me that my great great Grandfather (James "Semisi") last name was Williams and he married a polynesian Lady (idk where shes from). Btw i'm not Samoan i'm Uvean🇼🇫😂 #ViliFam
Back when this pageant was truly masani.
