+Muhngkee 3 quarters has become my go to view when drawing any character or similar...it's a lot easier than side or front. But i practice those two, as well.

I'm no artist, I can't sit down and just whip things up like you have. But I must admit, I have the imagination for it just the lack of talent with a pencil and thanks to your videos I can now create pictures that people look at and say "wow, that's pretty good I never knew you could draw like this!" and it inspires me to put forth the effort to obtain these skills. Do you think it is a feasible thing to say somebody who isn't a natural artist can still obtain the sort of skill via dedication that you seem to flourish with?

"Realistic" manga style?? That's called realism.. and that's when it starts to hinder on the border of just realistic art style to actually a manga-like style.
You are THE greatest artist that I know. MANY people look up to you, including me. Because of you I have decided to pursue a career in illustration. Not a day goes by that i am not watching/re-watching a video you made to pick up on some pointers, and the first thing i drew was your tutorial on how to draw people kissing (the first one) and it was the first drawing that I was satisfied with. I think a tutorial for drawing different clothing styles for the same character or just the full body of a character in multiple views would be very helpful.
You should do a video about how to make one eye look like the other... Because you can have a really good looking eye but if you don't get the other right, the whole thing messes up.
I use a slightly different teaching method of the 3/4 view. I have the chin coming almost directly under the 3/4 line, rather then the point of the chin being more by the middle line that divides the circle in half vertically.
I am a really big fan of you Mark... I have watched your videos for a few months now and you have inspired me to start drawing. I remember like half a year ago i could only draw stick figures. Now i've been getting good at drawing after 2 months of watching your videos. I've watched other peoples videos but they arent as good as yours. I used to have no clue how to not make my characters not look like a weird alien thing when drawing them in a profile perspective. markcrilley this video helped with drawing characters from the same height level. But I was wondering how are you supposed to draw a character from almost like a birds eye view but a little bit to the side to where it shows the body and not just the head and shoulders? Hope that made sense.

I don't remember how I found Mark at first, but I remember that it was when his subscribers still were in the ten-thousands, I think. I've been subscribed for a few years, but I haven't watched so many of his videos in that time. I came across this by chance, and comparing it to the videos that I watched when I first subscribed, I noticed a huge difference in the quality and conveyance of all the little things. Hi, Mark! I really liked this video, it was really helpfull and im really happy about brody's ghoust 5 ( i will save my lunch money to buy this book ^^ ) but... i have a suggestion. I know that you prefer to draw manga girls with blushies ;) (i dunno if i spelled it right, i dont speak english that much), or sometimes a real life or a disney character drawing,but.. can you for the next vid draw something really creepy? since i am a really big fan of creepypasta (like Ben Drowned, Laughing Jack, Eyeless Jack, Slenderman etc.) and i bet atleast 10% of your subscribers like creepypasta too, i would be really excited if you draw.... ...Jeff the Killer....... and not just standing and staring (altough it would be great too, atleast...) but in a kinda action pose (like charging to attack or someting..(actually, thats a good idea too - you can show us how to draw a character charging or in a action pose ;)..))... and i would love to see how you draw him in manga style, because i hate the realistic version, i like the cartoony and anime like drawings better.... but if you dont want to, thats ok, i will just try it myself even tough it is a lot harder to practice drawing skills without step by step... :/

You CAN! :) The best thing about Mark's tutorials and teaching is that he really does show you exactly what you need to do. The only other thing you need is time, effort and a determination to become better. That's pretty tough in itself, but totally worth it in the end. Don't get discouraged, improve! :D
I love your drawings and lessons on your channel. Recently, I just got your book, "Mastering Manga" and I read the whole thing 3 times. Practicing the clothes, head, body, hair, eyes, etc... and I love your art! I'm trying to practice manga art so I can make my first, REAL manga book with actual good looking manga characters. MaximusMods Try practicing with slightly curved lines. That helped me. Circles are hard to draw, but if you absolutely need to draw a circle and find it difficult, just use a Compass.

markcrilley this video helped with drawing characters from the same height level. But I was wondering how are you supposed to draw a character from almost like a birds eye view but a little bit to the side to where it shows the body and not just the head and shoulders? Hope that made sense.
I work full time in the world of tech support but I'm also an aspiring artist (as a hobby for now) and I have to say that I absolutely love your channel. I don't remember how I found Mark at first, but I remember that it was when his subscribers still were in the ten-thousands, I think. I've been subscribed for a few years, but I haven't watched so many of his videos in that time. I came across this by chance, and comparing it to the videos that I watched when I first subscribed, I noticed a huge difference in the quality and conveyance of all the little things. Since I'm interested in drawing, but haven't really mastered it, I think that I should once again become an avid watcher of these videos to help improve my skills.

I really liked this video, it was really helpfull and im really happy about brody's ghoust 5 ( i will save my lunch money to buy this book ^^ )
but... i have a suggestion. I know that you prefer to draw manga girls with blushies ;) (i dunno if i spelled it right, i dont speak english that much), or sometimes a real life or a disney character drawing,but.. can you for the next vid draw something really creepy? since i am a really big fan of creepypasta (like Ben Drowned, Laughing Jack, Eyeless Jack, Slenderman etc.) and i bet atleast 10% of your subscribers like creepypasta too, i would be really excited if you draw.... ...Jeff the Killer....... and not just standing and staring (altough it would be great too, atleast...) but in a kinda action pose (like charging to attack or someting..(actually, thats a good idea too - you can show us how to draw a character charging or in a action pose ;)..))... and i would love to see how you draw him in manga style, because i hate the realistic version, i like the cartoony and anime like drawings better....
but if you dont want to, thats ok, i will just try it myself even tough it is a lot harder to practice drawing skills without step by step... :/

The best thing about Mark's tutorials and teaching is that he really does show you exactly what you need to do. The only other thing you need is time, effort and a determination to become better. That's pretty tough in itself, but totally worth it in the end. Don't get discouraged, improve! :D

How about each time you teach us to draw certain parts of manga characters, you ask people in your previous video for people to send links to their own manga characters, use one in your How To Draw video and then only reveal the owner's name at the end? :P

Try practicing with slightly curved lines. That helped me. Circles are hard to draw, but if you absolutely need to draw a circle and find it difficult, just use a Compass.
