      Well, in reality human intelligence is not that much higher than that of certain other animals like apes, dolphins, octopuses, etc. The only difference is that we know how to share information in a complex manner. And they don't. Thats it.
      Like we had people like Einstein or Hawking and they were able to share their newfound knowledge with other humans. In that way that knowledge is preserved, used by many and ready for the next gen.
      On the contrary, if there was an Einstein or Hawking in one of the dolphins, it wouldn't be able to share his newfound incredible knowledge with other dolphins since his communication is not complex enough to explain it to others. So in that way it can't be preserved and told to the next gen.
      I mean I don't think most humans would be able to discover multiplication on their own. So we needed these rare geniuses and the ability for comlex, deep communication in history for the fast development of human society.

    • @markyh88
      @markyh88 5 лет назад +1

      @Thornback I agree with you to a point, but I do think if intelligent life had already visited earth we would more than likely have been wiped out or it would have been made public knowledge. I think if any kind of Iife form had the technology to travel the distances and speeds required to reach earth from other galaxies or solar systems then they would be vastly superior to us and we would not be able to keep it under wraps... I have no idea why a species would travel all this way to hang round in the sky for a few seconds, dance round so they could be seen by a farmer in dungarees with and IQ of 22 but then disappear all mysteriously. Also why would they allow themselves to be silenced and hidden? If they were advanced enough to get here then they would definitely be superior beings to ua. I know we cant rule anything out, but the odds are definitely stacked against alien life having already visited.

The testimony is still laughable no matter that the average person will accord it great credit because we socially trust persons with higher training.
      Human senses are notoriously easy to deceive and having bars or chevrons on ones clothing does not change that harsh truth.
      Having a witness with a massive mental workload while under extreme physical and mental stresses in a combat cockpit doesn't improve the truth of the account AT ALL.
      Demonstrations of how readily fooled expert testimonials can be are out there but they become non-stories. All the entertainment value rests with preserving the *possibility* of their reliability not with debunking it.
