Man I always felt that... When used to listen Sun Raha Hai Na Tu... I used to think that this song & also that Milne Hai Mujhse Aayi(that was a lot rock) were well suited to KK than the original singers.
If that would have happened, KK would've got 2-3 songs in Aashiqui 2.
Anyway, those who used to think that this singer has this many filmfares or that many awards... FYI, Ankit Tiwari won it for Galliyan while he was nominated for Sun Raha Hai Na Tu.
KK didn't get any nomination for songs like Dil Ibadat, Haan Tu Hain, Sajde, Meri Maa, Tu Hi Meri Shab Hai, Labon Ko, Alvida, O Meri Jaan... Countless, just countless... Kk had so many melodies in his pocket that he could easily win 7-8 filmfare awards straight from 2005-2012 ... Despite the fact he got nomination for Tadap Tadap which should've been the winner.
Shaan got nomination for Nikamma Kiya Iss Dil Ne & also for Koi Kahe Kehta Rahe(While Both KK & Shaan sung it, only shaan was nominated). This way KK should've been nominated for Desi Boyzz, Ayaashi, Main Tera Dhadkan Teri, Golmaal, etc.
Despite all this, when we see KK fans... This is the purest fanbase ever... People never became fan bcz their singer/artist was hyped or famous or very recognisable, but bcz of the pure flow of Love & Humanity... What drove all the pure souls to become his fans.
After Rafi Saheb, he was the purest soul & the artist who sang from the heart not from the notes only.

Can't agree more, so many songs seem tailor made for the KK style but underperformed by other singers including Arijit, who of course has greatest potential of the current lot but his casual nonchalant style of singing hurts many songs like Deva Deva, imagine the composition in KK's power voice !!

Heard dat KK misd out d chance to sing 'teri jhuki nazar' also of murder 3. Dis song was also planed for Him to sing. 💔
