Judge Merchan consulted with the judicial ethics panel who found his adult daughter’s employment was not a conflict. It shows he is an ethical judge who sought advice on any potential hint of appearance of impropriety before accepting the case. That’s not a qualifying event to raise a misdemeanor to a felony. If a misdemeanor occurred before the statute of limitations were up, and the case was about what was done, if this happened that far back, then the case should be dropped because you’ve reached past the statute of limitations. You can’t sit here and say that the statute of limitations is excused, because other evidence is being presented to classify as a felony because that would mean that that misdemeanor is still a misdemeanor and that it’s just attached to a felony. Mr. Braggs changed the law so it would be classified as a felony, but even that is a violation of the rule of law. If the rule law changed in the year 2022 but the charge that is being in questioned or presented happened four years after the statue of limitation was already up then the new law can’t dictate that that case should be brought back up.
To put things short all this is an excuse to try to convict Donald Trump because that was the campaign that Alvin Bragg promoted and the fact that he promoted this along with the DNC who went along with it involving the DOJ sign that somethings not right .

New York alone can’t decide what is election interference on this regard. Alone. The Supreme Court of the United States will have to have the final say so of the case in order to be an actual legitimate federal conviction. Not to mention the fact that he’s applying local New York state law to a federal conviction case. That was his self is a violation of legal procedure.
If an assertion is made that state election laws are violated, the state has the right to prosecute. Even in an election for a federal position, the states have election laws which, when violated will be investigated and potentially prosecuted. Don’t do the crime if you can’t do the time!

He refused to bring these charges, then waited until Trump announced his presidential run, then brought the charges even though the statute of limitations had expired. If you want a better explanation look up Allan Dershowitz break down of the trial. He's a Harvard professor of law and isn't a Trump supporter and he does a good job of explaining all the ways this trial shouldn't have ever happened.

It seems like there might be some confusion here. It's important to remember that jurors are meant to make decisions based on the evidence presented in court, (without even giving Trump people a chance to REPRESENT HIS SIDE!) not based on their political affiliations. Have you ever been on a jury, they can agree just to get out of there, I been on a jury when before the trial ever started people on the jury had already make up their minds. That is why so many take a plea deal because they don't trust the courts enough to put their life in charge of 12 people.
