If you would like to see additional info on this setup, I have put together a documentation as well: docs.google.com/document/d/1A-__-ayTLOQ0ra0_fJwXVAxdc94lCtZGZ-wIhF0ZiHU/edit?usp=drivesdk
The whole LED fans thing really inspired me ! I live in Canada, so I had to adapt a few products you listed and shop for better prices, but your explanation of what wires you need to convert those PC fans for USB really really helped ! Thanks so much ! 🌱🪴🐞
Hi Viv! Really good video, very informative and interesting. Sad to see that this was the last video you made. I would have loved to see more planty videos from you :) you have a very relatable and fun personality.
I had already bought plain black fans and now after seeing this I bought the ones you have. Looks so much better! I just wish the cord adaptors came in white.
This is the best video ever,!! I purchased milsbo and it was just siting on my floor because I was so overwhelmed not knowing what to do. Now I think I can tackle this project :) Thanks for alternative options since I wanted wire shelves but didn’t own any saws lol. Thanks a lot!!
Your commentary is seriously the best 😂😂😂 My fave part was “ I wanted to be extra as fuck” as well as when you say “ I realized I only have 2 brain cells , but it be like that sometimes “🤣🤣🤣🤣 seriously though thank you for all the information you share but mainly for you just being you ! 🥰
loved this video!!! you explained everything so well and i enjoyed the fact that you have a little 2 week review as well! also love your quarantine bangs hahaha!
soo much information! will be gathering everything I need this weekend. I might have to drive 2 hours away to get the shelf from Ikea since my local Ikea is all sold out. thanks you soo much for the video my plants will that you as well
This video and your documentation were amazingly detailed! What a neat project-thanks for sharing your learning and process with us! How do you plan on handling your plants’ transition from the plants to your room where it’s not as humid?
Thank you! Honestly most of these plants will spend their lives in the cabinet for good. The ones that don't will be placed near my humidifier in my room. I don't keep any high maintenance plants so acclimating them isn't too big of an issue in my experience 🙂
Thank you soo much for such an informative video. I’m still waiting for the IKEA in CO to restock. I’m not sure if they will deliver to my home, or, I’d have to go pick it up. 🤷🏻♀️ I love your cabinet set up!
Hey Viv, loved the video and your humor is totally relatable but I’d like to offer some helpful advice! I’d advise to use diamond tipped drill bits when drilling into metal. You can purchase a bundle kit with multiple sizes, don’t let the name “diamond tip” scare you though it’s pretty affordable and easy to find at larger hardware stores!
Awesome video, soo much info! I have been looking for a humidifier that can be hooked onto a Wifi Power Strip. Mine shuts itself off when the power strips cuts the elektricity and I have to turn it on again manually which takes away the whole benefit of using a power strip. Does your humidifier always work automated?
How do you set up auto on the humidifier? I have Gosund as well and the taotonic humidifier.. it would be nice to have it turn on and off itself 15 minutes in every 3 hours.. Could you please help me how to set up? Thank you!
I got those same fans and they blow air the opposite of how I would think we would want it? Or am I thinking wrong? The air goes out the opposite side as the lights so if I position the fans to where the air blows around the cabinet I don’t see the lights inside like I want.
So the light you use is 181 umol at 8 inches. Philodendron and monstera need to be 100 to 250.... so I would have to keep my plants within 8 inches to avoid reaching.????
I am thinking I would like one in my den window that has morning light. so the front and back would have to have clear windows for light to pass through.
Hi! Would you be interested in trading a picnic princess cutting and or an albo monstera cutting for variegated Heartleaf philodendron and paraiso Verde philodendron

The mistakes you make along the way are perfectly human and exactly relatable
This video is the best one I've watched so far. I love that you used PC fans.
oh my GOODNESS your pink princess is literally my dream! Loved this, really informative. Thank you!
Love your hair!! Looks great like that 😄

Just found your channel through this video and absolutely love your energy! Subbed :)
I actually love your commentary and I love when you randomly cuss. I actually subscribed because you said “I wanted to be extra as fuck” LMAO! 😂
> “I am about nine miles from the nearest IKEA”
> “SO DELIVERY WAS ONLY $50”
😂😂😂 this is so relatable! IKEA crowds are a nightmare
Can’t y’all do curbside pickup? Its the dream 🙏

hi which plant is that at 1:36?
Any update on your McDowell??
Is that a pastazadum ? And do you have it in a rectangular pot ?
It's a McDowell! And yes, in a long rectangular pot 😊
@@vivplants6842 thank you. I have the same cabinet and it’s stunning I love mine.
Besides the power drill, were all assembly tools included in the package?
Yep! No other tools necessary besides the drill
@@vivplants6842 thank you, you cabinet is my inspiration 😊
I am thinking I would like one in my den window that has morning light. so the front and back would have to have clear windows for light to pass through.
i really want to do this!! but there are so many stepshahaha
I wish ikea delivered to my area i would buy 2? So i guess i have to drive 2 hrs to get mines
What is the temperature of your room? What heats your cabinet?
Between 60 - 75°F usually! The lights produce a decent amount of heat which keeps the cabinet warm
@@vivplants6842 t
That's good to know!
are from south east asia like singapore or malaysia?
I think you used a Bit to drill in, which is only for screwing the Screws in.
Love the huge leaf plant! Gigantic. Where are u from? U have a filipino/malaysian accent.
Thanks! Originally from Malaysia so you nailed it 😁
Its interesting how I never really see people growing ferns on that cabinet
I know right? The first plant I would put in there would be my sad boston fern. It never came back from the trauma of moving into my apartment.
Please. How deep is shelf and how long. Please
Please, how wide is glass? CABINET IS 28 3/4”. How deep is sizes of glass. Thank you
About 26in wide, 13.25in deep
wow
