    Brandon Aiyuk is an excellent receiver, and a terrific and unselfish blocker downfield. I wish that he would take that unselfishness and apply it to the contract negotiations, because he's going to be set up for life, and so will his family, and as a team player, he needs to also help the team succeed with the salary cap just as he does on the field.

    @ David Lombardi, is Aiyuk not at the top due to his surrounding playmakers? Yes Aiyuk can separate, from one defender. Yes he has made contested catches, but when they were dots from Purdy. His numbers went up ever since Purdy came into the starting role. Deebo and Kittle have proved they can make catches while double covered and contested… without it being perfect. So let’s be honest, Aiyuk is as good as his fellow teammates allow him him to be. He fits great with the 49ers, but there is no way I feel he deserves 30 million per year, in the sense that everyone says. He is, in my opinion, worthy of a 75% to 85% guaranteed contract. He is always available and does block his ass off.

    Lol, I don't think the fanbase is addicted to the drama. What we want is for this situation to be resolved and the drama to *end.* So any new event that looks like it's going to make that process to end the drama longer and harder (whether it's something on social media or another receiver signing a big contract, or w/e) generates a lot of clamor and, yes, overreactions. Frankly, I'm sick and tired (and a think many other fans are as well) of the constant drama of the whole contract situation (whoever we might or might not want to blame for it), but it's the thought of having to wade through that drama for even longer rather than things seemingly moving toward a resolution that drives the anxiety.

That’s 30 years ago - and Jerry was significantly better than Aiyuk. The Niners have made a fair contract offer. They hold all of the leverage. If he doesn’t take it, he can play for $14M this year and $21M next year and then $26M the year after that… or he can take $26M/year in a long term contract.

    Aiyuk is missing the point, his agent also is, winning a Super Bowl is of great value going forward in his career... otherwise he will pass up an opportunity to make another super bowl and fulfill his destiny... want to get the money of Jefferson is getting, put your head on straight and get it done. To be a super star in the NFL or become another also-ran loser. There is no other team out there that can put you in the Super Bowl this year... think about it... greed never wins in the end.

    He is only showing the love for money and not the love for the team. Yeah, I get that this is a business and they want to get as much $ as possible but this is only damaging the team by him being doing tik tok videos instead of practicing and getting ready for the season. As a business owner you want the guy who shows up not the one who doesn’t. I love Aiyuk but this is gone too far.

    Hard to have an opinion about this other than Aiyuk should keep his head down and stay off social media. Drama like that TikTok post comes off as childish and unprofessional. We don't know the number the 49ers have currently put on the table, so there's nothing yet to talk about there. I know the 49ers are not dumb enough to pay the WR position Jefferson money - nobody at that position is worth that much of a team's salary space, as there's just too much talent around the league at WR to justify it (same as RB). I'm all for players getting paid, but that Jefferson deal is not a winning formula.

      @@Obie_24 Good point. I do think the Vikes could have got Jefferson for a lot cheaper, and if not, should have traded him for assets. That contract seems like an albatross to me. It will be interesting to measure Jefferson's production in the future.

      @@drogonr9318 Maybe. Since he’s made an All-pro team 3 out 4 years, he was going to rest the WR market. If it were the Niners then yeah it be a krazy deal. But for them it makes sense. He’s the face of their franchise.

    The drama is incredibly distasteful. Filming himself and then releasing that red meat to the masses is a classless move. He went down quite a few notches in my book. It's more than just talent and I wholey recognize the chemistry with Purdy. He is just acting in a disgusting entitled and toxic manner. It's ugly and I wouldn't want it on my team. But then again. who am I? Just another opinion on RUclips.

      @sza3434 3 месяца назад +1

      Greed? You're looking at this from a very narrow viewpoint. If BA were expendable the 9ers would throw him away fast. He has a small window to make the majority of his money for the rest of his life. It's not greed at all, it's business. If you could squeeze a nickel more out of your employer you would. Very hypocritical of you.

AB Deserve big money, but you don’t need a contract fine USA person is about character when you do what you do best you will get paid a lot of money but if you don’t, it’s not Trade him. Minnesota is actually a good franchise that has had a lot of talent and some decent success.
    JJ deserves to be paid the most by far because he is the best WR by far.
