@@alexandrabucur8589 english was the one that got me i felt like i already know the song the guys and the meaning was relateable. later after a while i heard german and i had the feeling i had at first hearing 😍😍😍😍😍😍😍😫😫
Tokio hotel war meine Lieblings-band . Sie sind aber verschwunden waren Sie so beliebt sind , ich vermisse Sie und auch ich vermisse meine high-school-Jahre.
At some point they've had enough of the hype and escaped Germany. They lived in L.A. for a while (where no one knew them). During this time, Tom got together with Heidi Klum, while Bill and the rest chilled their lives. They made so much money, no need to tour or make new albums anymore. Well deserved
I hear this bands songs in German and although I don't speak German I somewhat know what its about and I have to look up the translations to find I'm either very close or dead on. The feelings and the emotion in the lyrics and music transcend language.
hey i like em, and im american. i just like all kinds of music, even if i cant understand it. cant understand what eddie van halen was trying to tell me with his guitar, but it speaks to me. so i listen
They are german, and originally they only sang in german, due to that everything is suppose to be in English they started to sing in English as well. unfortunately.
Spanish, Engish, Arabic, Turkmen and Turkish :) tried to learn Germen for Tokio hotel back in the days and it took me a week to pronounce the lyrics right :D
The English version of Übers ende der Welt really is Ready, Set, Go!, but 'Übers ende der Welt' means 'over world`s end', something like that.. And we now and I`m sure Joshua895 nows too that already exist an English version of Übers ende der Welt, but the English version had to be a bit changed because it doesn`t fit.. So, Übers ende der Welt and Ready, Set, Go! are a bit different, so we need translation :). Joshua895, you`re the Best! xD
@sebr1206lb It's a literal translation of the German lyrics, not the English lyrics. They aren't the same, they've been changed to have them make more sense in English... wow, do some research before you go around attacking people.
@TheTbogt12 The song in german and english are different.. as a native speaker I must say, that the translation is OK... when the enlish version of german songs come out they are different, because sometimes the lyrics should be changed because of the rhythm...
verdammt... ich bin eig ein TH-hasser aber dieser song ist wirklich gut...(genial,geil,ok,sehr gut,awesome/ kreuz auf deinem monitor an was du willst/ XD) =D naja... die sind schon nicht schlecht sonst gäbe es auch nicht so viele fans AUF DER WELT , aber mal ehrlich, bill sieht MANCHMAL auf den ersten blick aus wie ein mädchen...wenn ihrs so wollt wie ein hübsches mädchen.... ;)
Ubers Ende Der Welt DOES NOT mean Ready, Set, Go. Sometimes when they translate one song between German and English they have to change up the names or lyrics. And at times, unfortunately, the lyrics don't work out to the point that the meaning of the song is totally changed. -.- World Behind My Wall is a good example of that. Lass Uns Laufen is the German version which means "Let's run" and is SO MUCH better lyrically than the one in English. Makes me wish they would've left that one alone.
Hm. The English translations aren't really accurate :/ I mean, the meaning is close enough, but the translator got the context wrong; for instance, uebers, in this context, doesn't mean over the end of the world...it's closer translated as "until," or "after/past." And, for the record, I'm fluent in both languages, so don't bite my head off (:
@TheTbogt12 - I'm pretty sure you're just a troll, and a lot of people have already talked to you...But seriously--if you wanted the English lyrics, you wouldn't look up "Uebers Ende der Welt," Hell, if you were looking at their English songs, and only thought they had lyrics in English...how the hell did you get to the German song? As far as I've seen English doesn't link to German and vice-versa. But...what do I know? (:
übers ende der welt doesnt mean ready set go, its impossible to make a song in 2 languages useing the exact same words, übers ende der welt means over the end of the world
Hallo Leute ! Gibt es hier vielleich jemand , die /der mir helfen kann im Verstehen dieses Lied? Also ich verstehe natürlich das Liedtext , aber ich denke es gibt auch eine versteckte , tiefere Bedeutung hinter diesem Lied. Ich interessiere mich sehr dass ihr , also wie könnt ihr es verstehen ? Fühle ich nur einsam ,dass es einen " Zwang" enthält ? Ich warte sehr auf eure Antwort !
I interpret the song as leaving behind a dark past that contained abuse and bullying, getting together with your loved ones (friends, family etc) and looking towards a brighter future. For me this song has a sort of "nothing left here so fuck it and let's start again somewhere else, we can get through this" vibe.
Achja der song ist echt was für mich. Schade das ich das worums da geht nicht schaffe obwohl zum teil schon. Yes this song fit so great to me. Sad that i can do that what the song mean, but if ithink something i had complite Sry for bad englisch.
@natashaengberg I'm currently learning japanese (have been for the last 5 years) and recently decided to teach myself German.. how much easier is german to learn compared to japanese???! I was freaking amazed =D
I used to listen to them in 2005 when I was 10 and I have to say one thing: people can say that Tokio Hotel sucks (even me, lol) but till the day of my death I will like them. Why? Hah, TH boys were the first which I fell in love in (blah blah, english is not my native language). Mean first STARS of course. So, the time may goes by, but even after 40 years my heart will beat faster when I'll hear Bill's voice :D EVEN if he'll transform into a woman ^.^
German version always sounds better
Nieporadzik Nieradzik u'r rite, i think the same... german lyrics are deeper and more meaningful in my opinion...
+Dann Arevalo Agreed, and just the way it sounds a bit more raw
+luv op ja
Valaseras
I think that's why is his native language.
OMG.. Everytime I hear this song I get supper excited :) Thank you for the translation!
This is so good, I still like their earlier music
Still German sounds deeper much deeper than englisj
Deeper?
in english it only sounds fake lol

I do speak both languages fluently but like the german version always more, good example is the song Automatisch/Automatic
@@Sh1do_0YESS automatisch is way more emotional
Here I am listening for the nostalgia ❤
same here 🥹
in germany it's popular to hate them since they're overplayed but they're actually okay and good for learning German with
all righty Damo
Yeah I started learning German with these
@Zsanett Fekete nope, also forgotten here

Die Gittare klingt echt cool.
the guitar sounds very very cool
Que, me estás diciendo que el título de la canción no es la misma que en inglés. Años de fan y no me acordaba
Spanish, Engish, Arabic, Turkmen and Turkish :)
tried to learn Germen for Tokio hotel back in the days and it took me a week to pronounce the lyrics right :D
sara meachel its been 4th year I try to learn German still can't say the words right exactly like German sound
I learned the language with Babbel and I still have to rely on google translate sometimes!

miss these guys!
I like how you put the English subs under the German. :)
Thanks! That makes sense!
you are a genius!
"About/Over the End of the World" is a pretty direct title about what the song is about. "Ready, Set, Go!" sounds cool too.
weiß jemand, warum er immer die "k" so weich ausspricht? kjeinen, erkjant, kjomm usw, würde mich echt interessieren
HLY SHIT THIS SONG SLAPS SO HARD
ich leibe diese 💕💕
i looooooooooooooooooove this song
Anyone else imagine an AOT opening in their mind ? The lyrics just scream AOT to me.
Same!!

Too bad we couldn't sing in German at school, that would have been nice. Anyway I love Tokio Hotel ❤️
OMG OMG OMG!!
i don't like tokio hotel , but i love this song since years
Bessem Fayçal this song was the reason I became fan and I never quit ever since

Holy freaking potatoes, I love this song so much... I am learning German and it really helps to listen to german music

Ich liebe Tokio Hotel

German may not be my first language but I fucking love this band.
@bmxingjohn14 No. The title of the song is "Over the end of the world"
Alguien sabe por qué eliminaron el video oficial de la versión alemana ? Pregunta SUPER SERIA

yeah they are german but they sing also their german songs in english :)
@crazybbycarol Hmmm but the real lyrics are the German ones. Tokio Hotel only started translating their songs when they had an international fanbase.

and when do you use the Dative form?
I hated learning those cases, i love german but the grammar is awful to learn if you're a non native speaker
Tokio Hotel is a german band :) also eine deutsche band google is your friend :)
Tokio Hotel ♥
@LiiilllaaMyy Nope, I'm fluent in English. My point is that you're in no position to correct someone when you don't get it right yourself.
🇩🇪👍🏼
@crazybbycarol I guess you'd have to understand German to know. The english one is really great! But The german lyrics make more sense
Your translation so wroooong!
Wait , I heard a song from Tokio hotel in english.... are they german? I'm confused.
Ja. Sie kommen aus Deutschen.
Yes. They are German.
es heißt aber " ich liebe dieses Lied "
und nicht " ich liebe diesen Lied "
;)
❤️❤️❤️
2 people sneezed while they where about to click the "like" button :P
