wow i think this has been my favourite one yet! i loved the instant respect and comradery between bres and sreng, and i both dread and long to see them meeting together in battle. i'm torn because i really like them both so part of me really wishes that they can reconcile their people and share the land, but a battle also sounds interesting! once again great job to you both, its always such a pleasure to hear you tell these wonderful stories of our ancient culture :D
This is a masterful telling. I've been thinking about how to tell the First Battle for awhile, and also felt that Sreng and Bres was the key, but you did such a great job!
The Tuatha De have always fascinated me most in these stories, because out of everyone who sees mention, they're the ones to show up and *Bling!* "Now we have magic." Which, yes we hear mention of curses and the like, and the Fomorians rousong the sea. But the sort of "utility" type magics used here, coupled with how consistent and instantaneous it is just comes off as bizarre. Maybe it's just to emphasize how different the north and south are from one another. Where the Fir Bolg are more handy and practical, the Tuatha De are sort of ethereal. Stated very well here, as a matter of note.
