  • This was a very touching interview with a pastor trying to feed people after Hurricane Helene in North Carolina

I don't have much but I have a lot compared to the people there that are in need.
I do have a couch and food to offer to 1 person that is willing to get on a bus and come to Denton Texas. I will pick them up at the bus station and they'll be welcomed like family. It's just me and 2 elderly dogs and 2 elderly cats, but we live in the country on a farm and would be willing to share it with someone who needs to be in a safer place. I don't do drugs or mess with anything illegal (I work security) so they wouldn't have to worry about being around anything like that. My ancestors came to North Carolina from Europe in the 1800's, and then some migrated down to TN, KY, GA and eventually into Texas, where I was born and live today. So I often wonder how many of 'my people' have descendants that are still there today and if they're some of the ones in need.
My offer is good as gold, and it's genuine. Have someone get a hold of me if you find someone who is willing to come and start over. And thank you for all that you're doing for these people. Sending prayers as usual.
